SMETHPORT, Pa. — Some Democrats here in rural Pennsylvania are afraid to tell you they’re Democrats.

The party’s brand is so toxic in the small towns 100 miles northeast of Pittsburgh that some liberals have removed bumper stickers and yard signs and refuse to acknowledge their party affiliation publicly.

I think Conservatives used to be polite and either walk away or try to reason with Dems. That is happening less often. Now conservatives are calling them out for their BS and they can’t handle it. I know I do. I always refer to Dementia Joe or Pes. Poopy Pants, then tell them to come up with some actual info and not CNN talking points. Makes them crazy.

I see a lot of “Trump won.” Stickers. If you need one that says “Biden is legit,” then he isn’t.

Well they have taken a giant dump on rural America, once a bedrock going back to FDR. They DONT care about them. Its evident in their writings and speeches. How would someone feel if you did that? Getting the results they get.

The Republican brand is even more toxic in urban areas - and unfortunately that’s where the a majority of the votes (real and fake) are.

I ask them how many times did they actually get to vote. I have no patience with them anymore and don’t associate with them if I don’t have to. They aren’t worth the time as human beings.

Not to worry.

That’s what the flood of illegals being dispersed throughout the country is for.

They will be voting in November, and you are RACIST if you try to stop them.

This isn’t even new; Dems have had a low opinion of less “cosmopolitian” people than the urban elites. The most bizarre thing is when they point out the alleged lower IQ of Trump voters, they omit any mention of the verified low IQ of the Dems’ urban base.

He might have meant it sarcastically.

“I am not a crook.”

“Biden is legit.”

"Well, doesn’t that suggest that your politics might be wrong"

Sad thing though, even if elections were clean, the cities simply have more voters.

Actually, the rural people I know are far smarter than the average people living in cities.

Farmers actually make and do things, and the women learn all the same, to help.

Cities are filled with people who can't get high school diplomas and/or welfare recipients.

Those who live in the country and don't farm work jobs in towns and cities, and can still hold degrees, but were smart enough to escape living in the locations they work.

While driving today, I saw an orange KIA with a bumper sticker that said “Biden is Legit.” Believe it or not, I didn’t run the person off the road.

Better yet, thankfully, you didn't run off the road laughing hysterically.

BooHoo. They should try being a conservative Republican in the DC Metro area if they want to know what a hostile environment is, or better yet a conservative anywhere in Ottawa including bthe floor of parliament.

The story that’s being missed is that there is a great shift happening with the parties, as blue collar, labor, and African Americans move increasingly to the Republican Party.

Oppressive Covid policies, demonization of un-vaxxed people (a huge proportion of whom are black), the scab-picking over race, the constant siloing of people by category, inflation, unprotected borders, the promotion of mental illness over the rights of others. All of these hit working Americans more than the elite, and the Democrat party is losing their traditional base by the droves.

Reversing Covid oppression represents a bit of an awakening on the left, but it’s not going to be enough. If the current trends continue, the Democrat Party could end up in the wilderness for a very long time.

The question is: Can the Republicans capitalize on this, or will they destroy this opportunity as they have been known all too well to do…
