Jeff Bezos' new yacht in Netherlands under fire, thousands RSVP to throw eggs at itRotterdam residents furious about moving bridge to accommodate billionaire's big boat

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is the world’s richest man, and he commissioned the world’s largest sailing yacht — so big that in order to get it out to sea, he’s offering to pay to take apart and reassemble a historic bridge that it needs to pass to get out of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

It may result in the world’s biggest scrambled eggs, if a planned Facebook event to hurl rotten eggs at the $485 million vessel is as popular as its signup sheet suggests.

Facebook user Pablo Strörmann, a Rotterdam resident, stirred up "Eieren gooien naar superjacht Jeff Bezos (Throwing eggs at superyacht Jeff Bezos)" earlier this month, inviting the "the international Egg tossing community" to bombard Bezos’ boat on June 1. More than 20,000 people had marked themselves as going or interested in going as of Wednesday afternoon.

Bezos is allegedly a smart guy. The same goes for the shipbuilders. And in the planning stages no one noticed that the ship was too big to pass under the bridge?

It’s more likely that they DID notice, and city officials were bought off ahead of time.

When I first read it I thought the boat was on fire. Disappointed.

Bezos should just buy the Netherlands for a vacation home.

As earlier, fire at sea is NEVER fun.

I remember watching a documentary where they had to remove part of a ship or oil rig to get it under a bridge - as designed - but this would be the first time I’m aware of where the engineers’ failures resulted in removal of a bridge.

smh

And lots of small flotsam to clog the water inlets.

Assuming, of course, that it’s navigating the waterway under its own power sans tugs.

The article says Bezos is the world’s richest man, but he has been surpassed by Elon Musk. Musk has about $224 billion; Bezos is a poor second at about $178 billion.

I met Bezos in 1997-1998.

He’s not smart or talented. He’s not dumb or incompetent, he’s just not a heavy hitter personally.

What he is, he’s connected.

His parents were CIA.

Bezos couldn’t turn a profit in AMZN’s first 17 years, then the books were cooked to turn a qtrly profit followed by tens of billions of CIA funding for “cloud services.”

Suddenly, AMZN is kicking box store retailers to the curb.

And Bezos becomes a Wall St darling (actually Bezos was groomed on Wall St at DE Shaw where he was a connected gopher before getting orders to do e-commerce starting with online book sales).

So was it Bezos’s extraordinary genius?

What was it?

$$$$$$$$$$

There are thousands of retailers out there that are orders of magnitude smarter than the CIA Bozo Kud.

It’s all about $$$$$, connections, and agenda.

Bezos is part and parcel to he globaloney of the “Davos Crowd.”

Most including this poster use Amazon but AMZN is much, much more than online sales. It’s a publishing IT platform of cloud service tools, development, management etc if you’re an online publisher and want everything automated and on autopilot, AMZN cloud services is your b*tch.

Of course, that means your narratives are filtered via AI made to conform to the globalist narratives.

How many chickens will have to give their lives for this.

How hard do you have to squeeze a hen to get another egg for the day?

I was addicted to Amazon, I swear that truck was at my house every damn day, when they pulled the servers from Parler I closed my account and never looked back!! I have found that MOST retailers now do a great job delivering in just a couple of days it takes a little more time to find things but that is OK!!! Not ONE MORE CLICK on Twitter, FB, or Amazon DONE!!!

None of those are “the richest.”

The richest are Crown of England, Rothschild, Sicilian Sassoon families, each worth in the many trillions as in hundreds of trillions.

Forbes and other state media like to publish the world’s “richest” but it’s BS, it’s tabloid.

When Suckerberg’s petard was first being hoisted, tabloids were frontlining “Hey Ladies! He’s Available and He’s a BILLIONAIRE!” ....

I read about the yacht thing elsewhere.

Why is the answer not "you can't come here with that boat."?

When you say his parents, are you referring to his father or his step-father?

Why is the answer not "you can't come here with that boat."?

Because the boat is already there. It is being built on the landward side of the bridge and he wants to take it to sea.

The central section lifts up to allow ships to pass, but Bezos's ship is still too tall. The rail line on it is no longer used, so I don't know if they still lift the bridge or just leave it lifted. They took out the center section to have it refurbed in 2014-2017 so it can be done. I don't know if it is a month of work to do it or if just requires detaching the lift mechanisms and getting a couple tall cranes.

Although I think the designers are idiots to build that tall of ship with a known obstruction and not make the masts removable or able to be shortened.

You are my doppelganger. Going back in time, I was an Amazon customer when they were just shipping books and records. Continued to use it for years until Bezo repulsion set in.

I stopped using Amazon years ago and I’m missing nothing. Amazon is just a delivery service. Anything I want to buy I can get from the manufacturer on their website or the store that they sell through.
