Bob Saget died after sustaining what appeared to be significant head trauma, according to a recently released autopsy report.
The 65-year-old star was found unresponsive in his hotel bed in Orlando, Florida, on January 9. Last week, Saget's family announced that he had died after he "accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep."
However, an autopsy report by Dr. Joshua Stephany, the chief medical examiner of Orange and Osceola counties in Florida, suggests the head injury was far more serious than one that could have been shrugged off.
...
Dr. Gavin Britz, the chair in neurosurgery at Houston Methodist Hospital, said: "This is significant trauma. This is something I find with someone with a baseball bat to the head, or who has fallen from 20 or 30 feet."
Pointing out that the autopsy described fractures to thick parts of the skull, as well as to bones in the roof of the eye socket, Dr. Britz added: "If you fracture your orbit, you have significant pain."
Dr. Stephany, who ruled that Saget's death was accidental, determined that the injuries were likely sustained through a fall, although the report found no injuries on other parts of his body, which would have been expected if he had fallen from a great height.
...
The autopsy report also found that Saget had an enlarged heart, though there was no suggestion that this had contributed to his death.
A PCR test detected signs of COVID-19. The star said in early January that he had contracted the virus, but didn't specify when. A PCR test can detect COVID weeks after someone has recovered.

The action of a sex worker’s pimp done to rob a wealthy celebrity?
On the next episode of The Forensic Files...
And who here on FR has details of Bob Saget's death that they might reveal them?
A doctor in Houston speculates that the details revealed by the family are not consistent with the nature of the head trauma. That's all that's going on here.
Didn’t they say it was hit on the part of the bed headboard that wasn’t cushioned ? The hotel should be sued if they are covering up video evidence of a crime.
Starting to sound more and more like a deliberate act of violence. Maybe some kind of Bob Crane thing, who knows.
Someone said the headboard was padded, based on a picture of the room.
Right. But a "slip and fall" doesn't comport with the autopsy report - if a crime was committed then it has to be at least partially public.
Seems like the family would want to know what really happened. Unless they already do.
“Sounds like murder.”
Sounds like he was concussed and did the guy thing which was to sleep it off. Buddy of mine who survived Afghanistan, Iraq (x2), and more such fun times retired and bumped his head falling from a ladder. And then he went in his house, sat down and died.
Sometimes sh*t just happens.
Yep. I called it. Murdered by father/brother/uncle of child victimized by a pedophile.
so YOU did it!
:)
He was hit with a candlestick by Col Mustard.
Always pay the pimp.
Sounds familiar...
Methinks something along those lines is the most plausible explanation for the family's unexpected privacy concerns.
However Fauci is overjoyed to pad his stats with another "COVID-19 death" ...

Exactly. He hasn’t even viewed the body. It seems impossible these days for someone to die without endless theories of super spy murder, the cabal or covid. There are big, HUGE, issues that need attention, now. These are distractions, nothing more.
Murder (if it is) is not private. Maybe he was doing something illegal and died. Maybe his life insurance wouldn’t pay if his illegal actions contributed to his death. We should respect the family’s privacy. They should have kept it a secret till he was buried or at told us a story that was consistent with his injuries.
Insurance company and hotel is probably going to investigate, as they may bear liability.
Did they black-light the sheets?
Harvey Levin from TMZ spoke last night and said that authorities believe that Saget went to his room, jumped on the bed to go to sleep, hit his head on the wooden part of the backboard, didnt think anything of it and died..he claims that the hotel room lock notifies the hotel when someone leaves and someone goes into the room and that no one came up to the room with him and that he is on surveillance cameras walking to his room looking normal..who knows maybe he invited someone to the room with him and they walked in together I just dont believe that getting hit on the backboard would cause that kind of trauma especially since the majority of the headboard is cushion
Seriously, no it doesn’t.
Dear friend and colleague seen working with a horse, was brushed up against and fell backwards, head making ground contact first, ambulance called immediately, was there within five minutes, but Dr John was DRT.
Just fell, in front of friends.
