Bob Saget's family filed a lawsuit Tuesday attempting to block officials from releasing further information regarding the comedian's cause of death "in order to protect" their "privacy," one of the family's attorneys said.
The lawsuit, which was filed in Orange County and obtained by Fox News Digital, names Orange County Sheriff John Mina and the District Nine Medical Examiner’s Office.
"In order to protect the Saget family’s privacy, today on their behalf, I filed for an injunction to prevent the disclosure of any photographs or videos of Mr. Saget made by the authorities during their investigation," Brian Bieber, an attorney representing the Saget family, told Fox News Digital.
"The facts of the investigation should be made public, but these materials should remain private out of respect for the dignity of Mr. Saget and his family," the statement continued. "It’s very simple — from a human and legal standpoint — the Saget family’s privacy rights outweigh any public interest in disclosure of this sensitive information."
The "sensitive information" includes photographs, as well as video and audio recordings, according to the lawsuit.

What’s weird? The family doesn’t want photos and videos of their dead family member distributed to the public. I agree with them.

I believe the public has some right to know if there’s a murderer on the loose.
Free fall calculator....if saget was 6 ft tall...his head would be 6 ft up...falling limp, straight on his head would be at about 12 mph...baseball bats are swung at about 50-80 mph...he could have been pushed down , or was running when he fell face forward..but a simple faceplant may not explain the bone damage. He could have been hit multiple times. Story is a bit weird.

Either way...original story was that he simply bumped his head...and decided to go to bed...so story doesn’t match physical evidence...hence, my armchair sleuthing comes out...

They do want it investigated thoroughly.
Or rather, they are satisfied that the case has already been thoroughly investigated.
They simply don't want all of the (personal / private) material (in part, inadvertently) gathered during the investigation to be made public.
Like how would you like, e.g., video recordings of a coroner using a probe to examine a wound on your dead daughter being uploaded to YouTube?

I think there is a big cover up going on here but that is the business of the family. They are willing to let whatever happened be deemed an accident
I could see him using stairs with a tryst so as not to be seen...falls down the stairs...tryst calls up friends and they dump him in the bed.
Doesnt explain why that wouldnt be seen on camera.
But what happens if this is actually a murder investigation and the killer(s) is caught?
How would the family, at that point, keep any information from getting out into the public?
If it's murder and they are claiming privacy, then they are keeping a killer on the loose.
If it's murder and the killer is caught, then privacy goes out the window as the evidence is presented in court.
All they would be doing is buying time.

Hotel Security camera footage is very notable in this story by the fact no media story seems to mention it, either by its existence or its lack of existence.
Hotels usually have a camera in the lobbies and many in the hallways especially near the elevators and stairs. When was he filmed by these cameras and who was he with and who might have been seen walking towards his room and at what time?
No wonder they don’t want videos released...the security cameras might reveal a lot!
The autopsy is now public record if there’s no further investigation.
The family doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on.
The family is going for a permanent injunction?!
