He believed in Free Trade Uber Alles, that’s where I started to move away from him.

I am indeed saddened! While he may have faded of late as most do, he was brilliant at many times as few are!
RIP and God’s Blessings on your Family & Friends!

I wonder if someone could write a similar book to
“Parliament of Whores” today.
or would the author get blacklisted canceled, accused of being a Russian agent etc

Aw, man. I didn’t always agree with him but I enjoyed reading his stuff. I think my copy of “Republican Party Reptile” is in my storage unit. And as teenagers, my siblings and I giggled and snickered at my parents’ copies of the National Lampoon HS yearbook and Sunday Paper.
R.I.P.

I was introduced to his books in my freshman year of undergrad, and his writing appealed to my already cynical sensibilities.

RIP, and condolences to his family. Thanks for the insights and outing the hypocrites in government over the years.

As a young college student in the early 1990s, O'Rourke's books were instrumental in guiding me from being a liberal to a conservative.
RIP sir.

P.J. wrote mainly during the Bush I and Clinton years, and therefore seems ‘dated’ by contemporary points of view, but I predict he will enjoy a resurgence of popularity after his death because his clever insights transcend any ‘current administration’ like good literature should.
