Even some police have lost faith with their own government.
This is a 2 minute and 50 second rant.
Question I have is, did the police officer quit in protest? If not, he has no principles and his voice doesn’t matter.
Guy putting his job on the line...forcing change has to start somewhere.
Why does he have to quit? He is probably going to be fired for the online post.
The problem is most of his colleagues will do whatever their paymasters tell them to do.
“Question I have is, did the police officer quit in protest? If not, he has no principles and his voice doesn’t matter”.
It’s easy for you to say. BS post.
If you are working for an entity that is doing things that are against your principles and you don’t quit, what does that say for your principles? It says your principles are for sale because you are willing to look the other way to get your paycheck. And i get it, bills to pay, kids to feed, etc. Its never easy for an adult who has responsibilities, but the way I would handle it is to make the video, find a new job, post the video, quit the old job, start the new job. And really, at that point the problem is that you become radioactive if your video gets traction. You’re really just better off following your principles and quitting after finding a new employer.
...but will enforce actions anyway.
Cuz, pensions.
Yes, your post to me is BS. Have you ever been faced with this? I have, and instead of making a video, I found a new job and quit the employer who was doing shady things to their customers. Customers who reached out to me after I left and asked why I left were given the truth. What they did with that info was up to them.
Just another armchair QB
Not necessarily. Should anyone who joined a uniformed service resign because someone above them is abusing their authority? As military officers or Law Enforcement Officers, we are sworn to uphold and defend our constitution first and foremost. Not all do that, but those that do are still honorable and trying to do their best from the position they are in at that moment. I know many sheriffs departments who do not enforce unconstitutional gun laws, but focus on preventing crime. Should they quit because some governor/legislature ban high cap mags or declares a sanctuary state?
But watch them follow the immoral orders anyway so they can keep their pay checks and retirement.
The assumption several years ago was that police officers were generally conservative. After their non reaction during blm riots, protection of antifa, and now the enforcement of the democrats tyrannical laws, police are seen in a new light.

Absolutely. At some point they need to man up, stand on principle, and stop being cowards. I read your post following this one about your own sacrifices to stand on principle. And I have also done the same and stood on principle at all costs and sacrifices for myself. Until we do, we will never win this war. Self preserving cowards do not win wars.
Thank you and I greatly respect your intestinal fortitude and resolve. Too bad it is so rare...
“..and you don’t quit, what does that say for your principles? “
If he personally isnt doing anything that goes against his principles I have no problem with him not quitting. He sure as hell isn’t putting his head down and keeping his mouth shut.
“Should anyone who joined a uniformed service resign because someone above them is abusing their authority? As military officers or Law Enforcement Officers, we are sworn to uphold and defend our constitution first and foremost.”
But very few actually do. They are self preserving cowards. We are to the point now they would arrest their own mother to protect their own self interests and privileged status as “just doing my job”.
Actions speak louder than words. And there are very very few examples of what you shared.
Have you ever served? Your comment is offensive.
Yep, if this guy quits, you know damn well what they are going to replace him with...
