Not necessarily. Should anyone who joined a uniformed service resign because someone above them is abusing their authority? As military officers or Law Enforcement Officers, we are sworn to uphold and defend our constitution first and foremost. Not all do that, but those that do are still honorable and trying to do their best from the position they are in at that moment. I know many sheriffs departments who do not enforce unconstitutional gun laws, but focus on preventing crime. Should they quit because some governor/legislature ban high cap mags or declares a sanctuary state?

But very few actually do. They are self preserving cowards. We are to the point now they would arrest their own mother to protect their own self interests and privileged status as “just doing my job”.

Actions speak louder than words. And there are very very few examples of what you shared.
