Pet deaths in Billings being investigated by animal control officers
Billings Gazette ^ | 9 Feb 2022 | TOM ACKERMAN

An abnormal number of dogs in the Billings area have recently died mysteriously, possibly from overdosing on the ingredients found in Tylenol, say local investigators.

There is not an evident link between the hot dog stuffed with pills and the cases of ill and sick dogs in Yellowstone County, Smith emphasized. She could only disclose so much because the investigation is active, but said the public and pet owners should be “hyper-aware.”

Megan Bianco posted a picture on Facebook of what appears to be a hot dog stuffed with pills. Bianco and a co-worker found the item in the backyard of a group home on North 23rd Street where they support people with developmental disabilities, she said.

Perpetrators should be slowly and inhumanly dispatched.

Stake them out naked and smeared with peanut butter for the bears and coyotes.

“Stake them out naked and smeared with peanut butter for the bears and coyotes.”

Nah. Gravy instead of peanut butter.

A short time ago here in Eastern Washington dogs were dying after drinking in the Columbia and Snake and Yakima River. It had something to do with the type of algae that had started to grow. Has never happened before.

different question: “how many mohammedans have become established in Native American populated territory?”

these insidious acts against canines reap the same punishment upon them! although, holding them in cells until the warmth of Spring, then staking them down over ant piles on the plains south of Billings, seems appropriate.

(been through Billings ... maybe tied to the tracks would be more expeditious)

Better take them south to a nice Fire Ant hill and stake them there.

Let the ants and rats have at them first.

Then the pet owners.

Only after slitting their eye lids and pouring watermelon juice on their face.

Back in 1960, we had a landlady who was killing rats by mixing D-Con with hamburger. Also killed our cat and other pets.

What is the demographics of Billings? Some groups consider dogs unclean. Were the dogs being a nuance (excessive barking) or are thieves getting rid of dogs to steal home owners? The economy is in the toilet.

Maybe Dr. fooksi and his boys can test sandfleas on whoever is doing this.

An animal poisoner is right down there with child molesters. Just plain evil.

How many of those “Pets” were actually viscous animals that were left to roam? It is like the mothers of feral gang members being tried for murder. “My boy was turning his life around! He wanted to be an artist!” Owners of vicious animals often say, “Oh, that was my pet! It wouldn’t hurt a fly! He was good with children!”

I walk about 5 miles several times a week for exercise. I am regularly confronted by big dogs, some are obviously strays, others not, that are aggressive. One last week would not back away. I stood there several minutes until he came within 3 feet of me. I hit him with my hiking stick and broke the animal’s jaw. It still didn’t back down and another large stray came up when it heard the barking. I had to call the Houston PD. This was in a residential neighborhood.

You can call animal control and they might come, next month, possibly the month after. I should have feel the need to carry a pistol when walking through a middle class neighborhood because of dangerous lose dogs.

Hot dogs and Tylenol sounds like a good solution.

Read your profile. You’re a retired professor, a bicyclist and grow fliers and fruit. You forgot to add you’re also an asshole.

Re: 17 - That says a lot about a person’s character - to be supportive of poisoning dogs.

Thank you for being up front about what you support. It makes assessing your character easier.
