A military dictatorship vs. the Muslim Brotherhood? Both are bad but one will spread terrorism. If we pump up Egypt with aid and weapons, if the regime fails all of that will go to the Islamists. If we don’t help the regime at all, it could more easily fail. I’m not an expert on Egypt, it sounds like there are no good options.

I like Rand’s principles overall, but even with my limited knowledge of Egypt we know:

El Sisi saved Egypt from Civil War initiated by Obama and the CIA’s destructive and wretched “Arab Spring,”

El Sisi saved Egypt from the Obama-supported Muslim Brotherhood.

El Sisi saved the Christian Copts from muslim genocide.

Pure State Department crap. Yes, President Sisi ended the Muslim Brotherhood rule of terror. Yes, he has outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood (who by the way killed Sadat). And he is quick to respond to terrorist attacks. Egypt is NOT a prison.

The executive summary is vague and makes accusations but gives little evidence of the facts.

I do not find it credible. A lot of what is produced at the State Department is outside of reality. This is a long term problem.

You think that Egypt is an easy country to govern? Just ask King Faruk; or Gamal Nasser, or Anwar Sadat, or... Get the picture? The fact that Sisi can hold Egypt together without shedding much blood is a credit to him; nonetheless, he is despised by Washington’s pro-Muslim Brotherhood cabal.
