Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Flavor Joins Taco Bell's Doritos Locos Lineup The new taco is one of three new menu items hitting the fast food chain this week.

Taco Bell has announced a couple of new limited-time additions to its menu and, before you ask, it's not the Mexican Pizza. But starting on Thursday, February 10, you can get its newest Flamin' Hot innovation, the Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos. (Honestly, I applaud their ability to fit the words 'hot' and 'cool' in its name.)

The Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos — and surely there's gotta be a shorter way to order one — are built around Taco Bell's Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos crunchy taco shells, and will be available on their own for $1.99, or as a Supreme for $2.49.

If this sounds familiar-ish, it kind of is: this is a spicier version of the now-discontinued Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos. (This year is also the 10th anniversary of the arrival of the first Doritos Locos Tacos at Taco Bell, so there's a better than average chance it's not the only Doritos-themed innovation we'll see between now and December.)

In addition to the Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos, Taco Bell also added two more menu items. It's launching the Cantina Crispy Chicken Taco, which is jalapeño buttermilk-marinated chicken that's been rolled in tortilla chips, topped with lettuce, cheddar, and tomatoes, and wrapped in a soft taco shell. It's also welcoming the Cantina Crispy Chicken Tortada, which Foodbeast describes as similar to a Crunchwrap Supreme, "minus the tostada shell, folded up in a handheld toasty square and filled with the same Crispy Chicken."

As for the Mexican Pizza, who knows what's up. Earlier this month, longtime Taco Bell fan Dolly Parton said that she thinks the chain should bring the Mexican Pizza back — and if it's not coming back for Dolly Parton, it's not coming back for anyone.

When I was little, my Grandpa would always bring these fantastic tacos from his neighborhood mom and pop restaurant when he came to visit

He eventually stop bringing them. When we asked him why, he told us that the Board of Health closed them down for serving cat meat.

We called cats, “Walking Tacos”, for years after that.

Agree. Doritos Tacos at Taco Bell were a match made in heaven. Great idea.

I’d imagine their test kitchens are constantly looking for something similar to boost sales. The marketing team needs to time press releases to maximize impact, so they can’t just constantly be introducing new flavors.

I like that they’re trying new things, but this one’s not for me.

I miss their bean cheese and rice burritos
They were about the size of your forearm for only 99 cents.

Indeed they were. At least when I was a kid, only Fritos corn chips were available. If Doritos didn’t invent the tortilla chip, they certainly turbo charged development of the product. Invented at Disneyland in 1964

Probably contains senomyx.

...because aborted fetal cell lines really did enhance the flavor.

...that is all
