Was it? The Navy had problems earlier with female pilots wrecking tomcats. Between 1970 and 1995, the year before the first female F-14 pilot joined the fleet, approximately 120 Tomcats were lost. So if none of those loses were due to female pilots then why were all those men wrecking Tomcats?
