CNN's top talents slammed the top boss of the network's parent company over the ousting of president Jeff Zucker during an explosive meeting Wednesday and demanded to know whether or not he'd consulted anyone in the decision.
Anchor Jake Tapper demanded WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar address the 'perception' that Zucker lost his job by refusing to pay 'terrorist' Chris Cuomo the $18million remaining on his contract.
'The perception that Chris Cuomo gets fired by CNN. Chris Cuomo hires a high-powered lawyer who has a scorched-earth policy, who then makes it very clear to the world that unless Jeff gives Chris Cuomo his money, they're going to blow the place up,' Tapper said, according to an audio recording of the meeting leaked by Business Insider.
Zucker was cast out of the company with immediate effect on Wednesday after bosses at WarnerMedia and AT&T, which owns WarnerMedia, were told of the affair by Chris Cuomo's lawyers.
He wanted to keep his job until AT&T's $43billion deal with Discovery was completed, but Kilar - with whom Zucker has had a frosty relationship before - insisted that he resign immediately.
The affair surfaced as part of the investigation into whether or not Chris Cuomo, who Zucker fired in December, should be paid the $18million left on his contract. He insists he is entitled to it but Zucker was refusing to pay up, citing his inappropriate work relationship with his brother as cause for the firing.
Cuomo, determined to get his money, is still threatening a lawsuit against the network that is rooted in allegations Gollust and Zucker were inappropriately close with his brother Andrew as well.
To stave off that lawsuit - and more potential scandal - CNN is now reportedly considering giving him half - $9million.
It has also been claimed that...

Well, look at him!
When do they all quit and start their own company?
Blazing Saddles.
Maybe they should just go ahead and let it all out. Expose the whole pit of depravity at cnn. Let the viewers decide if cnn is the moral superior they claim to be.
Thanks. How could I have forgotten?
Allison is pushing 50 years old. She needs to give up the mini skirts and cover up her sagging neckline.
Got it now. Scorched earth. Cuomo rained fire.
CNN’s “talent” is petrified that Discovery will clean house and they’ll all be out of jobs. Zucker was their protection. Now he’s gone. Boo hoo.
That was good. Tucker really “handing’ it out.
CNN has lost 90% of the viewership with these “stars”. Fire all of them and start over. Othwise CNN will remain the most laughed at name in news
The new boss should tell Tapper to shut the hell up or he is next.
Then look the rest of them in the eye and tell them, the door is over there, ain’t no one going to stop you from walking through it.
Then put a stack of Voluntary Termination Forms on the table and say whoever wants one, take one on your way out, meetings over, then walk out.
What fun. CNN “stars” defend a guy who likely orchestrated Gov. Cuomo’s covid show, brother Chris’s smoke job, failed to fire the masterbater Toobin, probably knew of the child molesters predalations, ignore Don Lemone’s sexual predations, and God knows what else. What a freakin’ den of slime.
Given the culture at CNN, I suspect this thought FTA explains it all:
“It has also been claimed that a top shareholder at Discovery, Trump-donor John Malone, insisted on Zucker’s departure.
Malone has made no secret of his disdain for how left-wing CNN has become and how he wanted to ‘restore’ it to its old style of journalism before Discovery inherited it.”
STFU, Democrat front hole.
They need to require handguns on site for all CNN staff—and then let the circular firing squad begin!
Fredo is not worth 9 cents.
If they have “top level” talent, you would hate to see the “low level” talent aka Brian Stelter among others.
It is amusing. I don't believe I ever ran into someone who considers any of those turkeys to be "stars."
Somewhere in America, just before bedtime, some people go over to the row of framed CNN star pictures on the wall and kiss each one goodnight. Like teenage girls used to do for Rock Hudson, Cary Grant and Elvis.
