Although the mainstream media is utterly silent about it, something very big has been happening in Canada. Truckers have pushed back against the Canadian government’s mandate that they must show electronic proof of vaccination to enter their own country from America. Canadians are flocking to the trucker’s flag. In a viral video, a woman named Gina, clearly raised in a former communist country, is seen trying to explain to a condescending Canadian reporter what constitutes freedom.

This gets us to the three-minute-long video I mentioned. A reporter in Ottawa talks to a woman named Gina who explains that she came to Canada 25 years ago. By her accent, it’s apparent that she grew up in Eastern Europe, and by her age, it’s clear that she grew up when Eastern Europe was under Soviet control. She understands totalitarianism firsthand.
Gina gently chides the reporter, telling him to report honestly about the thousands of people who gathered to greet the convoy as it entered Ottawa. She then points out that these are people who want life without a mask and points out that the reporter is without a mask.
The reporter smugly informs Gina that he’s showing his face because he’s outdoors. Were he indoors, he believes in “following the law.” Gina reminds him that the law is based on false science and accuses him of knowing that the official narrative is a lie.
What was most interesting to me was Gina’s effort to school the reporter about liberty. She explains that she arrived in a very different Canada 25 years before. The government, she says, is hostile to that real Canada, while the people showing up for the truckers represent the true Canadians. Why? Because they’re committed to freedom.

I hope that the truckers don’t suffer any harm at the hands of the communist thugs.
America once had balls.
However, after Obamafication, the balls apparently have gone to Caneda. Good for them. Perhaps they can aid us in our inevitable Revolution II.
“America is at that awkward stage; it’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.”
— Claire Wolfe
I do support the protest, and I do appreciate a strong argument presented to the Oppressor class. But I also think we are swiftly exiting the “awkward stage”. I don’t think we will argue our way out of this and I don’t think we will vote our way out of this. Canada, or USA, makes no difference. The people who want control have no intention of giving it up willingly.
For me, the primary value of things like Jan 6 or the Canadian Trucker convoy is so that we can all say “Look, we tried this, we tried that. Didn’t work. What’s next?”
The reporter, clearly baffled by that word, asks “What do you mean by freedom?” Gina answers, “Since when government force to make it medical procedure? Since when?” And then she says something heartbreaking, with which millions of people around the world can sympathize: Her mother, who doesn’t speak English, was taken to the hospital, and Gina was arrested for trying to stay with her. That’s the sadism of the new regime.

It so disheartens me when I see people who have managed to escape tyrannical regimes by coming to the US or Canada, only to have them reveal how alarmed they are at seeing the same tyrannical things going on here.
I listen to those people closely, because they know of what they speak.
I posed that question as a hypothetical on another forum, because that is the questiin.
As far as the truckers? It would take resolve, but discontinue delivering to the power centers for the likes of Trudeau. Think of it as cancel culture on steroids.
Look at where the money is residing right now in the US: DC (which has six or seven of the wealthiest counties in the US surrounding it, but the most recent time I was there I didn't see a lot in the way of businesses actually producing things), NYC (media and Wall Street - see my comments re: DC), etc. Point is that there is not much of substance, but the money and power are there.
What the Canadian trucker protest is demonstrating is just how much of a house of cards the Left's power base truly is, and only exists because the producers tolerate it. I guess in a certain way I'm veering into "Atlas Shrugged" territory, but short of violence, its the only way to brung it down.
It is getting where the only “freedom” you have is the freedom to follow the law.
Soap box, ballot box, jury box, cartridge box.
I listen to those people closely, because they know of what they speak.

Few listen and that’s the problem - when I recount my run ins with KGB guys, or the War on Natural Resource Harvesters, people here laugh, ask for links, or become belligerent, etc. I’m sure they are the sort who would ask Gina for proof and link sources.

Covid and the inoculations were only Act 1. The people behind this (please discuss among yourselves), have more up their sleeves.
There will be countless *small awakenings* in the near future.
Brava!
This woman damn well knows what totalitarianism is. The Canadian reporter is a smug, uniformed idiot.
