I have distinct and incredibly fond memories of eating frozen pizza as a kid. It was generally an "every now and then treat." And then, WHAM. College happened, and suddenly frozen pizza went from "cute tradition" to "literal lifestyle." I know I'm not the only one here. And the number of brands out there?! Staggering.
Now that I'm a grown adult who actually cooks for a living, I'm usually too busy cooking up something not pizza-related...but TBH, I live for a frozen pizza every now and then. That said, the number of choices out there is overwhelming. Have I ever bought the same pizza twice? Truly unsure. Gotta try 'em all, right?
Common Standards:
• DiGiorno – Rising Crust Original Pepperoni
• Freschetta – Naturally Rising Crust Pepperoni
• Newman's Own – Uncured Pepperoni
• Tony's – Pepperoni
• Red Baron – Brick Oven Crust Pepperoni
House Brands:
• Trader Joe's – Wood Fired Naples Style Uncured Pepperoni
• Whole Foods 365 – Rising Crust Uncured Pepperoni
THE EXPERIMENT In order to be 100% fair here, I knew I had to do a blind taste-test. Bless my very, very willing partner for cooking up seven entire pizzas over the course of a day, and bless the fact that we'll have re-frozen frozen pizza for the next...IDK, year. (Side note: If you're reading this and we're friends, come over for pizza.)

Well, it is 15 miles to a “Papa Johns” place here. I think 20 to a Pizza Slut. So yeah, I’m enough in the boonies that a frozen pizza is a higher carb cheat on my diet. Good once a month for guilty pleasure.
Red Baron. Add some cheeses and some extra toppings and I’m content. So are the kids and grandkids. Low standards are still “standards”.

Best way to warm up a leftover slice. Don’t microwave, put it in a non stick skillet on low heat til the toppings look warm enough. The crust will get crunchier, not soggy like in a microwave.
The best pizza I ever ate...was a place in Anaheim, CA...Called Smilin' Sams..My Dad and I used to go there....
As far as store bot...I like the 9 and 10...
But I also add stuff....too
ham? onion?

Homemade creamy pesto sauce
Cut up and pre braised chicken thigh meat
Sautéed sweet banana peppers
Sliced raw sweet onion
Mozzarella

I’ve had those Target pizzas for years and wondered the same. But each brand seems a little different in style so not sure.
In SE Az a place called Delios made a similar pizza but they turned the slices around to form a sun and put a bowl of ranch dip in the center “the AZ sunrise”
California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas were good years ago, but I had one last year and it was awful. I try to keep most bread/potato/rice, etc. carbs out of my diet these days, so I rarely eat pizza.
OFCS, underdeveloped palate. That is laughable. Anyone who speaks in absolutes like that about an item that is clearly opinion based is simply looking to placate their own ego.
I don’t think I ever stated it was the bees knees or anything, just that it was an acceptable alternative to waiting an hour and spending more money to get delivery of what ultimately amounts to a mostly cold, albeit freshly made pizza, or to go out and dine in for pizza. Sometimes people just don’t have time for that crap, and sometimes people just don’t want to deal with all the rigmarole of it all, or sometimes it’s 20 below with a 35 below windchill, etc.

I like Schwan’s individual size deep dish pizza w/everything on it, and I put it from frozen right into my air fryer and it comes out delicious. Air fryers are great for frozen or thawed, and in particular for leftover pizza. Leftover pizza comes out crisp, not soggy like when warmed over in a microwave. I love my air fryer in general, and for pizza in particular.
I absolutely LOVE my air fryer I have EVERY small appliance ever invented the air fryer is the BEST of the BEST, it is right there with the microwave as far as rating a small appliance!!!! LOVE , LOVE, IT!!
Walmart’s house brand is pretty good. Follow the directions to the letter for heat and time, and it is good. Put it straight on the rack.
Are you communicating in code again, or is this just about actual pizza?
I like Ellio’s every blue moon as it reminds me of the pizza shingles they used to serve us in Grade School.
I’ve stopped making homemade pizza in favor of making calzones.
Start with a fresh pizza dough, let it rise then work it to fit a deep cookie dish or broiler pan.
Add what ever to it. I use browned ground sirlon, mushrooms and onions. Sometimes I’ll add 1/2 jar Pesto.
8 oz fresh mozzie. Put half of it on half of the dough. Add meat mess and cover with remainder of mozzie.
Bake 400 for 15 min.
I like it without pizza sauce, but it’s very good if you want to add that.
Oops, forgot to add the part where you pull the other half of the dough over the meat mess and pinch it closed.
They are all so awful. I stopped buying them after one of my kids had an allergic reaction to red baron.
