I Tested And Ranked The 7 "Most Popular" Frozen Pizzas, And I'll Just Say It — There's One Brand You Couldn't Pay Me To Eat Again If you need me, I'll be eating cold leftover pizza for the next...IDK, year.

I have distinct and incredibly fond memories of eating frozen pizza as a kid. It was generally an "every now and then treat." And then, WHAM. College happened, and suddenly frozen pizza went from "cute tradition" to "literal lifestyle." I know I'm not the only one here. And the number of brands out there?! Staggering.

Now that I'm a grown adult who actually cooks for a living, I'm usually too busy cooking up something not pizza-related...but TBH, I live for a frozen pizza every now and then. That said, the number of choices out there is overwhelming. Have I ever bought the same pizza twice? Truly unsure. Gotta try 'em all, right?

Common Standards:

• DiGiorno – Rising Crust Original Pepperoni

• Freschetta – Naturally Rising Crust Pepperoni

• Newman's Own – Uncured Pepperoni

• Tony's – Pepperoni

• Red Baron – Brick Oven Crust Pepperoni

House Brands:

• Trader Joe's – Wood Fired Naples Style Uncured Pepperoni

• Whole Foods 365 – Rising Crust Uncured Pepperoni

THE EXPERIMENT In order to be 100% fair here, I knew I had to do a blind taste-test. Bless my very, very willing partner for cooking up seven entire pizzas over the course of a day, and bless the fact that we'll have re-frozen frozen pizza for the next...IDK, year. (Side note: If you're reading this and we're friends, come over for pizza.)

I like to take leftover pizza slices and put them in a casseroles dish with tomato sauce and more cheese and bake it. Sorta like a lasagna.

There was a Stouffers outlet in Gaffney, SC that we used to stop at when we visited my wife’s now-departed grandmother. You could buy cases of 2nds for dirt cheap. We used to load up. Great for busy family dinners.

(Note: 2nds were mis/off-center labels, sealed but sealed crooked, short or overweight packs, torn boxes...all first-rate food quality.)

Don’t even get me started on the Russell Stover Candies outlet...

We had Schwan’s delivery in the 90s. I didn’t know that about Red Baron.

We usually doctor our pizzas up as well, adding more cheese. That sounds tasty with the sliced tomatoes.

Appian Way pizza kit was better IMHO. Topped with bacon or kippers.

They’re all toxic in my book.

It’s a shame his sample was so small.

Raman worked until one of them read online that they can cause cancer. Now they look at the raman packs like they contain eboli infected maggots. Testing boiled wood chips with various seasonings for new filler food.

You bet! If it’s just for me, I’ll put chunks of fresh garlic and strips of anchovies all over that bad boy!

Flour, water salt and yeast. The dough is pretty easy to make. Get a jar of red sauce you like, some shredded mozzarella and anything else you like, except pineapple, I’d hate to have to kill you.

Pizza is pretty easy to make. I’ve never bought a frozen pizza.
