Despite a mountain of evidence showing the 2020 presidential contest wasn’t rigged against Donald Trump, nearly 6 in 10 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (57 percent) now say they will not vote in upcoming elections for any candidate who admits that Joe Biden won the presidency "fair and square."
Only 17 percent say they would consider voting for a candidate who accurately characterizes Biden’s victory as legitimate.
These numbers underscore the degree to which Trump’s “big lie” claiming Biden cheated his way into the White House — a falsehood that three-quarters of Trump voters (74 percent) now believe — has become a litmus test for the entire GOP, crowding out other issues and strengthening Trump’s grip on the party ahead of the 2022 midterms.

If they lie about Biden winning fairly, they can’t be trusted on anything they say. Its a no vote from me.
How can they know? Have you seen forensic auditing that would overturn the election? I haven't. There were some extremely suspicious activities on election night. Enough to make me think the election was very very likely stolen. But without proof, I can't say that it was.
Neither can any candidate.
Well that leaves Ben Crenshaw twisting the Wind. 😆
“Poll: Nearly 6 in 10 Republicans say they will not vote for any candidate who admits Biden won ‘fair and square’”
Good news for those of us who want to get rid of Eye Patch McCain. He’s such a grifter, it might just be worth letting a Democrat have it (something I’d never say regarding a Senator).
“This kind of thinking is going to divide the Republicans and result in lost elections.”
That’s the point.
They need to stop supporting Biden and the steal and the entire totalitarian corrupt system.
Republican Party can survive or die. Their choice.
There is a certain sense of panic in some of the darker reaches of the MSM in that their control of the narrative hasn’t resulted in people’s simply rolling over and accepting a fraudulent “victory” as genuine. “Can’t we just Move On?” Well, no. The results of that swindle are glaringly evident every single news day - inflation, Afghanistan, the border, the mask and vaccine mandates straight from the playbooks of 1930’s Germany - it is these, and not any sense of partisan resentment, that fuels the conviction that the thing was crooked and that we’re paying the price for that. It isn’t going away. Anyone left bleating that Biden won “fair and square” is bound for the dustbin of history and good riddance.
The word "admits" in the headline rather than a word like "asserts" betrays that the news source is not just biased, but dogmatic.
Very well said!!!
There, fixed it!
Regards,
This is more important during primaries where we have a choice between several so-called Republicans. I definitely will not vote for anyone who is or was a never Trumper, who endorses the election results, etc.
The 2020 election was most certainly rigged. Never in my life have I witnessed the poisonous atmosphere in which this election was conducted
I’m an Independent but count me among them.
Yep. Dan Crenshaw has shown himself to be a RINO - and not just on this issue either. He needs to go.
One has to know that a mountainous check has been paid to yahoo for putting in print; there is a mountain of evidence biden won the election …….
Despite a mountain of evidence showing the 2020 presidential contest wasn’t rigged

BWA HA HA HA !!!
You can’t swing a dead cat anywhere in the USA without hitting voter and election fraud.
They cheated in every way they have perfected since they tried to steal the union army vote in 1864,,
and invented a few new ways on top of that.
This is a Yahoo/YouGov poll and it's an outright fraud: an online poll with special sauce.
"The Yahoo News survey was conducted by YouGov using a nationally representative sample of 1,568 U.S. adults interviewed online from Jan. 20 to 24, 2022. This sample was weighted according to gender, age, race and education based on the American Community Survey, conducted by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, as well as 2020 presidential vote (or nonvote) and voter registration status."
The primaries are where that gets shaken out. We have to do our homework and SHOW UP!
I guess the meaning of my post went right over your head. Let me make it clearer.
I don’t care what Trump says about the election.
I can address the things you said in the same way.
I don’t care what Trump said about past elections.
I think they were hoping that six months after the election, Republican voters would have forgotten everything and moved past the election fiasco. That has not happened for them, and leaves a feeling of illegitimacy to the establishment candidate.
