A one-time Swiss banking CEO who is on trial for fraud now says that the nearly $220,000 he spent at strip clubs was a legitimate business expense.
Meanwhile, Swiss prosecutors have also alleged that Vincenz ran up a $4,500 hotel bill that included repairs to the room after he and a stripper he was dating at the time got into a “massive” fight that caused significant damage.
Prosecutors want the 65-year-old Vincenz and his co-defendants to pay restitution totaling $77 million and serve six years in prison.
All seven who have been charged are denying the allegations.

Vincenz allegedly tried to write off $4,600 at Zurich’s Egoist cabaret as well.
His interest rate was high.
Who knew being a Swiss banker was so … exciting.
The guy was a former “banker of the year”.
Too funny...
Seriously, only $220k ? is that all
I worked for a company where the policy was that the highest ranking employee at a club or bar had to pay for all employee morale money on their company card.
I had one boss who was extremely well informed as to where the execs were hanging out at any given time.
Who does this guy think he is, Hunter Biden or something?
I’ve had clients who insisted on lunches at strip clubs. Annoyed the heck out of me. Overpriced food, overpriced drinks.
You hate to ask, but he’s “dating “ a stripper, and they damaged the hotel room? What the heck was going on in there?
FYI, These are all routine business deductions that are taken literally by Hundreds of Thousands of Businessmen every single year, see the Entertainment Industry for a Start.
I’m guessing a whole lot of overtime on the company books.
True enough, if you're talking funny business.
We had Japanese customers who regularly insisted on visiting strip club. Kind of disgusting.
One of those parts of business I was usually able to stay clear of.
Just very happy I was a technical expert and sometimes manager but never in sales.
It's not solicitation your honor. We were on a date.
I dunno, but you’d think for that kind of money he could at least have hung out at a better looking strip club than the one in the photo above. I mean, really, even the Bada Bing looked classier than that.
Sounds about right for 220 trips.
I’m doing it wrong. The coolest place I ever went on a business trip was a Yankees game.
as a former salesman and sales director, we had a saying we would use, on occasions, at such places:
Can you believe we are getting paid to do this?
We had a saying too about it: You couldnt pay me enough to do that.
