NEW YORK (AP) — The epic football playoff game between Buffalo and Kansas City reached nearly 43 million television viewers on Sunday, the most for any event since last year’s Super Bowl as the NFL struck gold with its rousing weekend.
The four games averaged 38.2 TV and digital viewers, up 20% over last year and the best ever for the league’s divisional round of playoffs, the Nielsen company said on Tuesday.
In the fourth quarter, the Bills-Chiefs game had a 90 audience share in Kansas City — meaning 90% of televisions on at the time were tuned in to the game, Nielsen said. That’s an astonishing figure at a time of audience fragmentation. In Buffalo, the share was 86 at the same time.

I stop watching football when the NFL told me they were gay.

Only the principled and virtuous can resist the bread and circus of these American hating thugs.
When is the Super Bowl?
I keep hearing people say they hope for a Rams-49 Super Bowl, but how is that possible given they’re in the same division.
Yeah, whoever is calling for Rams 49ers is a moron.
At best it’ll be Chiefs/Rams
The Bills/Chiefs was the Super Bowl.
The rest is just window dressing.
I thought maybe they changed the rules or something.
Sad.
How quickly people have forgotten the NFL’s rejection of America.
How willing people are to cheer for thugs who refuse to stand for the National Anthem.
I love a Rams vs. 49ers NFC Championship but, I would LOVE a Rams vs. Bengals Super Bowl.
Happy to see Stafford finally get his shot.
I wasn't one of them. It's sad to me that people still watch and attend NFL games after they've allowed and even encouraged the players to insult veterans.
Ooohhh... I don’t know. As a Bengals fan, I would love to go to the Super Bowl. But we don’t have an offensive line...our front five are more like turnstiles. I’m worried that the Rams DL will hurt Burrow.
I think this year is the start of a long run for the Bengals...but that OL is problematic. We need to use our cap space and the draft to get the players we really need. (We also need a lockdown corner) Then Cincinnati finally becomes a dynasty behind Joe Burrow! Who Dey!!!
The BLM appreciates your viewership.
I’m one of the weak. I do take the step to VPN through Europe to avoid all commercials, something at least. Have managed to kick the habit on NASCAR, NHL, MLB, and NBA. Don’t watch 2 seconds of any of them. Damn football still draws me in....dang it, globalists laugh as I consume their distraction. Must get off that drug.
ZERO rating in my household.
FREE REPUBLIC might as well be ESPN! All day every day, sportsball sportsball sportsball! Viva la Revolucion! (Except when THE GAME IS ON)
Since you haven't been paying attention, you may have missed that a large measure of Wokeness has disappeared from the NFL product since the rollout at the beginning of the season. That turd landed with a greasy plop and most of the nonsense quietly went silent.
The best counter is to demand football and not political bullshit. That's what we got on Sunday evening, football not nonsense. Meanwhile, the audience of FreeRepublic continues to shrink. That's the problem that needs to be fixed, the NFL will fix itself through the free market.
