I can understand the need in an “emergency” to act faster than congress is able to.

But we are at the beginning of year 3 of this, and if congress wanted mandates, it has had plenty of opportunities to pass it.

My wife's multiply vaxxed co-workers keep coming to work sick because they have no PTO left for sick time or quarantine. We're still getting over the last round of crap they carried into the office. Yet another exposure this week and my wife has a sore throat. Earliest test she can get is 10:40 AM tomorrow. All booked up for today. She's coming home early. We won't be going out to dinner tonight. I'm over the sore throat and sniffles from the last pass, but still have recurring periods of malaise and post nasal drip.

A small aside. My wife is part of a 6 dispatcher group providing police/fire/EMS dispatch. 3 are out sick/quarantining. My wife will be the 4th out if she tests positive and/or continues to have a sore throat. I work from my home office, so zero impact on my ability to keep working.

Biden federal contractor vaccine mandate blocked nationwide by federal judge in Georgia

(CNN)A federal judge in Georgia blocked the Biden administration's enforcement of a vaccine requirement for certain federal contractors nationwide.

The order means that all three major Biden vaccine policies for people not employed by the federal government -- the mandates for contractors, certain health care workers and employees of larger companies -- are frozen across the country.

The contractor mandate had already been blocked in Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee after an order was issued in a separate case.

US District Judge Stan Baker said in his order that blocking the federal contractor policy would "essentially, do nothing more than maintain the status quo; entities will still be free to encourage their employees to get vaccinated, and the employees will still be free to choose to be vaccinated."
