Tucker Carlson is one of the few major political pundits who understands the biggest lesson the United States should have learned in the last 20 years: that the last thing we need to do is get involved in another war. America’s tragic disaster in Iraq alone should have taught everyone this, but it hasn’t.
This time, the flashpoint fueling the pundit class’ calls for military intervention is the Ukraine-Russia border.
“[N]ow, as of tonight, we’re moving closer to a war over Ukraine,” Carlson, Fox News’ most popular host, told his audience of millions last week. “In the coming days, Russia may violate Ukraine’s eastern border, and this, we are told, cannot stand.”
The host cited examples of the near-uniform eagerness on both the establishment Left and establishment Right for war in Ukraine. Carlson played multiple clips of establishment figures making these arguments:
-Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff on CBS News: “We will move more NATO’s assets closer to Russia, not further away if they once again bring war to Ukraine.”
- Army lieutenant colonel Alexander Vindman on MSNBC: “It’s just not going to be that simple. I think we should be doing a lot more and we, we shouldn’t be just considering a diplomatic track.”
-Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw on Fox News: “There needs to be clear consequences for what they do because we’ve failed to deter and now you’re inviting conflict. It’s a, it’s a very bad situation and we’ve left ourselves without many options as a result.”
- Republican Rep. Michael McCaul on CNN: “ I don’t think we’re providing the deterrence necessary to stop Putin from invading Ukraine, the breadbasket of Russia.”

Time after time, Rep. Dan Crenshaw continues to disappoint.
What’s absolutely bizarre is that the Biden Regime’s constant claims of coming war in Ukraine is actually destroying the Ukraine economy.
International Banks are not loaning money, locals are panicking and removing money from banks, projects are being cancelled, trade is not occurring, insurance rates are skyrocketing. Ukraine is already Europe’s poorest country, and its economy is collapsing. Its on the brink of an international debt default.
Its almost like Biden and the deep-state are purposely trying to create a sinkhole.
The Germans, in particular, are fed up with the hysteria.
Yes, Crenshaw is an utter neocon tw#t
He’s a junior Bush-Cheney.
Tucker seems correct to me
1. Draw public attention away from all his failures (e.g., inflation, immigration, Covid, Afghanistan, rising crime, CRT, etc.).
2. Pump money into the economy. "War is the health of the state."
3. Get people to rally behind The Commander In Chief.
Alas, it won't work. Americans are no longer one people. We weren't even by 9/11, but enough so as to rally (for one last time) around the President in time of crisis.
But 2022 America is different. We hate each other. We distrust each other. We have differing interests, values, and visions for what this country should look like. Few of us idolize the military. Fewer still feel any loyalty to our government or its president.
If Biden goes to war, most Americans will either feel disconnected, or just watch the war unfold on TV for entertainment purposes.
Excellent point. IMHO, Covid was the straw that broke the camels back. You have leftist governments (fed, state and local) and their supporters who wet full lock down, restrictions, etc and if you dare criticized it for ANY reason, well, you want them to die. Even after the jabs and over the summer low ~1% positivity rates, you have the Karens still demand masks, etc.
It was clear at that point, we would never really unify again.
Tucker is right
I heard Uberneocon Mark Levin railing the war hawk line tonight
Turned him off
So predictable
Comparing Putin to Hitler
We’ve no business going to war over this ....would we want a CCP satellite in Mexico
For the record Putin is very accommodating to Jews ....exponentially more so than the commies were after Stalin started purging them from his ranks after Trotsky took the ice pick nap
Putin counts several amongst his oligarch pals and even has received awards from Zionist orgs
Putting nato troops inc our own in nato members nearby to show support for Poland or the Baltics I understand ...but going to war over Eastern Europe is stupid
My oh my how Tucker has “changed!”
I remember watching him on CNN crossfire in the run-up to the second war in Iraq and how he encouraged Americans to boycott Europe for their resistance to joining our folly in going in after Saddam.
GOP, Inc. have started more wars than Democrats and even Trump assassinated a foreign leader (which should be illegal).
The intervention problem in America is deeply entrenched.
He did change all credit to him
Around 2008. I think he was supporting Ron Paul for president!
He’s come a long way.
If he truly has I’m happy. But I do think he’s gone too far. You cannot live in a bubble and pretend like problems elsewhere arent any issue to us at all.
Sometimes they are, particularly when it comes to sovereignty and freedom. Always assuming of course we can preserve it here.
Few Americans have shown they are willing to rise up to defend it here, either.
Remember…never let a crisis go to waste. Can they drag this out until the Nov. election?
It’s a Russia / Ukraine conflict. PERIOD.
U.S. (the old senile pervert’s handlers) are going out of the way to insert themselves in the middle something that isn’t their business.
They may have to..because the pandemic seems to be petering out.
And no matter how hard they try they just can’t get enough fear and panic out of global warming.
And people are just about burned out on the whole racism schtick.
Crenshaw was dishonest about who (what) he is. The good news is, this can be remedied and should make us all look deeper into the candidates we think will represent us.
Yes, Crenshaw is an utter neocon tw#t
Bump
Putin is the current "Hitler of the Month."
Every new Neocon war requires a New Hitler. And everyone who opposes that war is a New Chamberlain.

As an American, I no longer feel Free or Sovereign.
I'm not even Free to publicly say that only men have penises. People can lose their jobs for saying that.
And though the People are supposed to be Sovereign, our elections are diluted by the votes of illegals, felons, dead voters, multiple voters, and fraudulent counting. So I no longer feel that I share in any Sovereignty.
If the U.S. Deep State government were attacked, I'd look out for myself, my family, my friends. But the Deep State can fend for itself. And if I won't fight for my government, why should I fight for Ukraine?
I was watching snippets of network tv tonight
They are obsessed with it
It’s a diversion
And they hate Putin who despite his despot oligarchic regime remains a Russian traditionalist and at least appears a cultural conservative on our hot issues here
He does not brook homosexuality or feminism or anti cultural Russian sentiment much at all
I have no doubt in their hearts they loathe that more than border integrity
They sure don’t care about ours
Hattip Tucker
