Places with highest daily reported cases per capita
Seven-day average of daily new reported cases per 100,000 residents
Colorado’s 7 day average of new cases peaked on Jan 15 and has dropped 38% in the last 9 days. Hoping it continues down.
Hospitalizations down slightly, ventilator use down slightly.
Fingers crossed.
Deaths up wrt previous Monday.
South Africa 88.
Russia cases curiously continuing spike. Don’t know of any rule change there. It suggests more people are sick and get tested.
It’s Russia. It could be that they are improving their infrastructure for testing. But their deaths are still declining.
Your numbers are fake.
You can see all the excess deaths. We were expected to have around 2,800,000 deaths from all causes.
That “excess deaths” numbers is the one I go to when people say the Covid deaths are all just made up. OTOH, it will be interesting to see when covid dies down in the next year or so what the total death numbers will be.
I wonder if Covid just killed folks a bit earlier than they would have died “naturally” and we might see lower than expected total deaths in 23, 24, 25?
Dropping fast nationwide without even close to a commensurate increase in deaths.
That's possible. Assuming the virus becomes endemic by then. At the same time, you have 3,000,000 million Americans turn 65 every year. We'll see what happens.
Increasing numbers of deaths per year in the Covid era is probably 90% due to the Baby Boom generation reaching their expiration dates. Nothing to do with Covid, other than inappropriate and harmful treatment mandates for those who fall ill from it.
I see where excess mortality during the 1968 flu pandemic was 4.2/100k. In WWII there was a flu with 22/100k. The 1918 flu was 800/100k.
For 2021, excess deaths were about 242/100k (I think I did the math correctly). NOT your normal flu season.
That part is clear. No reason for us to be in denial about it.
Worldometer as a resource is becoming all the more ludicrous. Or trustworthy, as you continue your posts.
Worldometer, as of 25 January 2022 ---
( 5,624,631 "official" Covid deaths globally / 7,922,649,789 "official" global population ) x 100 = 0.071 %
Globally, this pandemic -- casedemic, whatever -- "officially" according to Worldometer has tallied less than one hundredths of one percent of the global population.
Thus, either the Worldometer data is correct, in which case the Fauci-Collins led pandemic response is the absolute worst in the world, or the Worldometer numbers are in some and various ways bogus. Citing your choices within the Worldometer data is your editorial choice, and results in what many call "fear porn."
If the Worldometer data is argued to be correct, then China, ranked 119th, has 4,636 Covid deaths over twenty-five months of this pandemic.

It is assured that the Communist Chinese would be pleased that you validate the Worldometer results.
The numbers are BS pure and simple... There’s not a thread of credibility in any of them.
