Amid growing talk of Tom Brady retiring, it’s important to look back on what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback said about his marriage with Gisele Bundchen.
Back in the fall, Brady admitted that retirement was a “very difficult issue” in his marriage to the supermodel.
Naturally, Gisele would prefer for Brady to retire so he could spend more time with friends and family members.
“But that’s an issue, and it’s a very difficult issue to reconcile without just saying, ‘Hey, it’s time to retire.’ And I think there’s, you know, we’re coming to the end here too, so I don’t want to miss any of the kids’ stuff,” Brady told his co-hosts, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray.
“I think my wife has, you know, held down the house for a long time now, and I think there’s things that she wants to accomplish. You know, she hasn’t worked as much in the last 10, 12 years just raising our family and kind of committing to being in a life in Boston and then moving to Florida.”
Brady, 44, is reportedly non-committal on the 2022 season and beyond.

He shouldn’t be taking the hits the way he has all season, not at 44.
Keep playing, 13-4 this year is pretty darn good for a middle age guy. You're only as old as you think you are.
Aaron has a few more seasons left - Aaron should go to Tampa for 2 or 3 years - take over for Tom. Rodgers would do pretty well with Bruce Arians and that warm weather.
Equally as important, why are you commenting on this nonsense?
I would think as health-conscious as Tom is, he’s monitoring his brain health pretty closely.
I wonder if San Francisco would jettison Garappolo for Rodgers.
I heard the wifey practices witchcraft. I don’t know if that’s true, but if so she’ll have some serious explaining to do on judgement day.
Fix it!
I suspect you are right. If the Bucs cant provide a stronger front 4, he definitely should call it.
Madden went out on top and created two more careers.
Tony Romo (work with me) is arguably a better color analyst than anyone...maybe ever.
Even Michael Vic was reborn.
My favorite pitcher ever, Steve Carlton, tarnished (slightly, albeit) his legendary rep by pitching way beyond his Best By date.
The only thing in Tom's way, is Tom.
“So I was shocked to turn back at the end and see the score was tied.”
Same here, there were several times the Receivers for LA were wide open with no coverage and scored. Bucks missing a few seasoned players. IMO
Look what the Manning Brothers are doing, they’ve carved a very nice little niche there.
And Tom has been on the Manning Brothers Show, I think Tom and Peyton would make for a great team.
Yep. Three Unsportsman-like conduct penalties in the 1st half. That does not speak well to Arian's coaching abilities.
Seriously? You go on about witchcraft and judgment day because the guy
has a work / life balance issue?
GTFO.
Only?!! Lol
Aaron never hit 50. Bonds hit over 50 once. ARod hit over 50 twice as did Mays. Maris hit over 40 once.
My point is confirmed.
agreed - weird game. And then that Chiefs Bills game! crazy
“I’ve come to the conclusion, based on what she posts and says, that she’s on the vacuous, attention hungry, and self-absorbed side.”
You’ve just described 99.9% of all models and actresses.
My wife did a little modeling locally before we met. She assured me that the vast majority were self-absorbed attention whores with delusions of grandeur just waiting for their turn in Sports Illustrated. Even though they had peaked as Miss October on the Charlies Mufflers calendar.
She and a few others did it for grins and giggles but she said most were dead serious.
Yeah the Rams should have had an easy blowout, but they nearly gave the game away with 4 fumbles. Rams will need to clean that up because the 49ers defense won’t be as nearly as forgiving next Sunday.
Plus if the 49ers get their run offense into gear they will keep the Rams offense watching from the sidelines.
A guy married to a supermodel shouldn't quibble.
