Tom Brady’s lip bloodied, gets flagged for screaming at ref during disastrous first half

Earlier this week, Tom Brady lamented the lack of roughing the passer calls he gets but admitted he also gets away with plenty of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

On Sunday, he got a double whammy — and only had a busted lip to show for it.

Brady was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty midway through the second quarter after barking at referee Shawn Hochuli for not calling a roughing the passer penalty on Von Miller in the Buccaneers-Rams NFC divisional round game.

One of the important things was Kelce calling an audible telling Mahomes he wasnt going to do the called play. You can hear Mahomes yell Do it Do it.

Kelce saw something and Mahomes trusted him. You have to have people you can trust.

RE: BILLS I didn’t agree with the squib kick. Make a mistake, send it out-of-bounds, and the ball is that 40

If you can not trust your defense to stop an opponent from going 45 yards in 13 seconds, no kicker can help help you.

One of the amazing things this weekend was Joe Burrow getting sacked 9 times and still winning the game.

Every time you say that, another Titans fan curls up and dies.

The Bills were playing defense to prevent a touchdown with 13 seconds left instead of realizing the Chiefs best chance to stay in the game was to get into field goal range.

The Bills knew that. They knew they only needed a field goal. But they also knew that the Chiefs had all their timeouts left so they could use the entire field. Give that to Mahomes, Kelce, Hill & Co. and that's why it only took them two plays and 11 seconds to get into Butker's range.

Tampa Bay was the only reason I watched the NFL this year. Now that they are out, I could care less.

Allen had nothing to be ashamed of. Both teams' defenses were reeling at the end; had the Bills D reeled a little bit less, they would have won.

One of the greatest football games (at any level) ever played.

That's a definite Chief's strength. The team trusts Mahomes and Mahomes trusts his team. Their faith in each other is complete and the faith the coaching staff has in them completes the picture.

Allen had nothing to be ashamed of.

None of the Bills players do. They're a great team. They'll be back in the playoff picture next year.

It was the greatest game I’ve ever seen, and also the most devastating loss. Not his fault but the stunned expression on his face at the end was incredible.

Last night was a Hindenburg-like event for Allen.

Last year's Super Bowl was a humiliation for the Chiefs. They're back again this year, looking for another ring. Allen isn't the kind of player to be destroyed by a loss like this. He'll suck it up, learn from it, and lead his team back to the playoffs next year.

I’d say both games yesterday were both “instant classics”. I can’t believe what I saw in either game.

100%. He had every right to yell when there was helmet to helmet contact. Should have flagged Von Miller 15 yards for that alone.

I agree with Jack Lambert, they should just make quarterbacks wear dresses.

Romo stated that the kickoff into the end zone gave Mahomes more time. Allen gets an A+; couches get F’s. THEY blew the game, period.

If you can’t tackle or at least defend the run after pass reception in those 13 seconds you don’t deserve to go the next round. Entertaining game but clearly a case of not what you did but what the other guys didn’t do. Still beginners at this.

Looking forward to many years of Allen vs Mahomes.

Mahomes really impressed me yesterday, after KC’s rough start, I was starting to think the league was catching up to him. It wasn’t so much his running, but just the fact that despite the pressure the Bills were putting on him, they just couldn’t get him, and by the end of the game, they were just gassed.

That may have turned the entire game, with a 30-yard change of field position in Tampa’s favor.

Just another reason why Patrick Mahomes is one of the classiest acts in football - Patrick Mahomes stopped celebrating Chiefs win to run across the field and hug Josh Allen

Mahomes has lost big games. He knows what it feels like.
