DANVILLE, Pa. — Three monkeys that had been lost along the interstate in Montour County are all accounted for, all of them now dead. A public health risk assessment was conducted by several organizations including the CDC. They confirm the escaped monkeys were humanely euthanized. The monkeys escaped after a truck carrying about 100 of them collided with a dump truck Friday afternoon along Route 54 just off Interstate 80 near Danville.

Well these little cuties were from Africa on their way to the CDC and they are infected with something.
Another source, since you didn’t like the name of the first one. You should listen to the interview - it’s a serious subject - no “magic dogs”, just helpless human orphans:
👍🏻😉
I hope they weren’t being tortured/zapped into fear, like FRAUDci’s previous monkeys 😩
That virus is called Ebola Reston, and these African monkeys were bred for research here in the Philippines.
And there were a couple times employees in the Philippine labs caught it from the monkeys but luckily did not get too sick
Let me guess...there were “12 monkeys” that escaped?
Me too....I’ve seen this movie before....
Weren’t they zebras that escaped?
Maryland has a huge NIH Primate Center between NIH and Fort Detrick.
Tucked well away in the country side. Traveled along the two lane country road for quite a ways without seeing buildings or even an entry point. Well maintained white board farm type fencing...upon which on two occassions a dozen or so buzzards were perched...as though waiting. Never seen so many in one spot just waiting.
With the mention of the monkeys being on the way to a CDC approved facility, it’s possible that was/is the destination. And who has ties to NIH?
Just sayin’
I was riding my bicycle yesterday when a loose dog with a leash came running towards me. So I stopped, put my hand out and said hallo. The dog immediately turned around, ran and then went into the woods and disappeared from sight.
I thought that was good because it was headed towards fast traffic and probably got separated from its owner in the woods. I rode a little bit and saw a woman who was looking around so I stopped again and said if she lost her dog it just went running into the woods.
She said it is not her dog but that she passed a woman walking three dogs down the street and then shortly after the three dogs were running loose. I said: THREE dogs?!
The woman said she feels really bad because she once lost a dog. I told her I once lost a dog and the next morning he was in front of my door. Then I told her not to worry, they will be controlled and eventually reunited with the owner.
I didn’t want to go after the dog and have it keep running away from me and out of the area so I went home and cooked cheese Omelettes with three kinds of cheeses. That’s it.
Requiem for The Monkeys;
as sung by special guest Elton John
“And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a Capuchin in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the truck smashed in!”
yer a funny bastid :)
damned Minkeys!
See no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil were eliminated.
Around 2005, I worked briefly with a guy who’d had work in the 1990s in the Fairfax/Arlington area. He’d stop each morning at a donut shop and pick-up a coffee. Across the street was some big huge ultra-modern office building. One day, he stopped, and the building was gone. So he asked the coffee shop lady....what happened?
The previous week, she showed up and across the street...some guy shows up early and there’s all kinds of action going on. Someone comes over to get some coffee, and the jest of this...is that some lab monkeys got loose over the weekend in the building. They got out of the controlled area. By noon, some bigwigs had arrived. The next day...demolition crews have arrived, and within 3 days...had taken down the whole building. Nothing was left.
No news report....nothing. Whatever they had in that lab...was toxic enough to worry people and the building could never be used again. What happened to the monkeys that got loose? Probably euthanized.
I saw a movie like this once...
And yet it could be torn down and disposed of……. where? And how?
It actually sounds more like they wanted to destroy the evidence in the event something bad did happen and to them it was worth the risk of demolishing the building than to be found out.
Which is not an encouraging thought.
Whatever was going on in there must have been pretty bad for them to act like that.
Cue up Don’t Fear The Reaper.
Yep. We’re supposed to believe they miscounted? It sounds like the fourth one is still missing.
The whole building was demolished over escaped monkeys? Most of these stories are never reported. We might never have heard about these escaped monkeys, either, if locals hadn’t witnessed the crash.
“They confirm the escaped monkeys were humanely euthanized.”
What? Were they afraid they were going to talk?
