The tide had turned and do not go easy on those who tortured us for 2 plus years.
Are you “Talkin’ ‘Bout My Medication”?
The physical and psychological damage being done— deliberately so — to children by, literally, hysterical “men” and women who children trust (parents; teachers; doctors ... you name it) is beyond tragic; it is truly inhumane.
It sucks to find out, or even suspect, that you are "the other guy".
I still see schoolkids out on the street wearings masks. I still see people in cars wearing masks, too (windows up and everything).
The only “demic” we have going on is one of irrational fear.
I knew this years ago before the “pandemic” that they weren’t alright. My comments trying to straighten them up at school and mentions on here were not well received. My moniker was decided upon BECAUSE of what I was seeing in school. I will eventually be validated, it will just take longer than I thought.
One of my favorite projects that I assign each year is to my 10th grade students, who do in-depth research on any culture of their choosing.
Sounds touchy, feely to me.
Can students factor a trinomial into to two binomials, diagram a sentence, write a cogent five paragraph essay, name major countries given a map, cite the constitutional powers vested to the legislative branch?
Math, rhetoric, geography, and civics were fundamental to my education.
Today’s snowflake teachers never mention what were once the fundamentals of secondary education and should remain the fundamentals of any secondary education.
A young boy killed himself recently because he thought it his fault that his dad caught COVID and died. Enough.
I remember a kid about 3 with his Family shopping in a mask,,,

Lifeless and no eye contact

Broke my Heart.
The so-called “public school system” idea is a waste of time and money. It always starts out with great intentions on the part of all (except for maybe one or two snakey individuals) but then once you see it in full flower, it’s never good for students, parents, or teachers - or all those people who don’t have kids but still have to pay for other people’s kids to be educated, and that poorly, anyway.
If public funding is spent on education, parents should be the first in line to say how it should be spent, but the taxpayers should be next. The taxpayers should not pay for giant armies of these “teachers” to be allowed positions of control over children.
My mom and dad taught me how to read - school was something that just added to this a bit, but reading was really what opened up the world to me. I had a library card before I was four years old. School I always hated, mostly because I hated being away from my home and mom (and dog; I was just thinking about him today). The DOE is the most egregious waste of taxpayer money that ever was. Name a worse one. End the DOE.
Canada eh?
Why are you doing this?
Anyone have personal experience of children demanding to be treated as cats in school?
Is it some kind of joke story?
Someone I know used to be a Pre-K teacher, is now semi-retired and is subbing in lower elementary. She says the kids are definitely worse than just a few years ago - poorly behaved, defiant and way behind where they should be academically. As a sub she sees a cross section of grades at different schools, and it’s mostly the same. They can’t read, can’t count or do simple arithmetic, and are only interested in watching YouTube videos.
