I just went thru my google settings on my android and shut down most everything. I may have to turn some back on due to performance issues if they arise but holy crap...there are a lot of places to monitor!
Google, Samsung, and individual apps that all want to “enhance your android experience”.
Settings/Privacy
Settings/Google
“On your iOS device, do this:”
Thank you. It is weird that someone who be interested in the research habits of another person. It is ethical to mind one’s own business.
Right to opt out on my phone. If your device is the same, you’ll be asked to confirm that you want to opt out of interest-based ads.
Same here
I just noticed my tagline was gone. I went back and reinserted it. I wonder when FR did that cuz I sure didn’t!
I'm amazed.
First time in years MSN put out useful information.
Heck must already be frozen solid.
Funny stuff happening around here lately. I have been documenting it for future reference. Screenshots and all. :)
I do not know what is up, But I have a feeling some of us will fond out soon enough.
But it is cool, we are ready...
I hope you are wrong my friend. Because if so that means they are secretly and directly messing with members accounts without even the respect to explain why. There is a HUGE trust issue here. Yes it is theirs, but it begs the question “What else?”. Are they reading Private Messages? Are they collecting data for unknown entities? As you know... I really have a problem with question marks because of total lack of transparency and courteous respect for the members that feed you.
There is also a setting to “Reset Advertising ID, at the top, which “will replace your advertising ID with a new random number. I don’t know if it needs to be done, but it sounded good to me.
“I know there aren’t many of you out there with Windows Phones”
I still have my old Cingular 8525 mobile phone that runs on Windows Mobile. It’s in “like new” condition, but I don’t think there’s a cellular service that will support it any more.
Here’s the specs:

It’s unfortunate that Microsoft came so late to the smartphone market and then fumbled. At that time the iPhone was still new and expensive, and Androids were still like “Whut?” to the general public. Windows Phone had a good interface and with the proper marketing, delivery, and support it coulda been a contender.
Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 was the earliest I know of, I had one. Apple started development on the iPhone the following year.
Microsoft clearly wanted early Mobile to be a Windows computer in your hand, with as much desktop functionality as could be squeezed into a handheld at that time. WinCE with a Windows file system, even.
Unfortunately, that's not what mobile devices were or are about -- they are media consumption devices, gaming, social media, and BTW a cell phone. It took the iPhone to bring that concept screaming into the general consciousness, and Microsoft pooh-poohed it (see famous video interview with Steve Ballmer deriding the iPhone).
One might argue, of course, that Apple saw the error of Microsoft's ways with Mobile, and benefited from that in creating the iPhone, but they already had the iPod etc. to work with and had seen the future.
Just keep trying until it stays RED. Then you've got it.
Good post Wish - just ignore the snark. ;-)
Thanks.
