The medical industry has become incredibly corrupt, especially the hospital consortiums. Ever wonder why all those new hospitals have been built with soaring lobbies that look like the entrance to a luxury mountain lodge, complete with live piano music? Those luxuries surely cost a ton to build in, and provide zero benefit to patients, nor do they enhance the delivery of medical care in any way. Turns out, there is a system in place in which hospitals are allowed to base their billing on a percentage above their total costs, sort of like the infamous “cost plus” defense industry contracts. So, higher costs = a bigger cut for the hospital. The incentive is always to INCREASE costs, which is why they leap at every opportunity to gouge patients with insane charges, and why their new buildings increasingly look like luxury palaces.

I was in the hospital for three days before I got fed. And the attitude was VERY hostile. Just guessing here, but IMO there is a LOT a hatred for white people going on in hospitals.
I dont doubt the hostility but no hospital is going to leave a person with no food or nutrition for 9 days in the US

I went three days without food. Believe it or not, it is true.
Maybe you underestimate the power of hatred. And the deep desire to have certain segments of the population die.
There is more to your story..such as food withheld due to procedure etc..
If they just didnt feed you for another reason like hostility then you should start the complaint process.
She followed up later and said they were bringing in the meals but the patient could not fed himself. Later the nurses would take out the tray and bring in the next meal. So not the same thing but just as bad.
Yes, that is an entirely different issue..but still an issue that should be addressed by the institution and the people affected by it.
This is a very powerful discussion amongst front line nurses that have put their careers on the line (and are being attacked) to speak out about the recently implemented super restrictive treatment protocols being mercilessly mandated by the federal three letter medical agencies.
This connected several of the dots for me in the pursuit of the answers to the several disparate questions:
Why are hospitals complying with these mandated protocols
Why are doctors and nurses not screaming bloody murder if they believe it’s bloody murder
Why is Remdesivir being pushed so hard
Why are the very promising treatments being meticulously excluded
Why does the (almost) entire healthcare system march lockstep with these restrictive protocols and why has any challenge been squashed.
These and several other very important issues discussed.
There is admittedly a bit of flakiness at times, most of which is explained later on (as in the case of 9 day starvation discussed upthread), but at the end of the two hours, these heroes come out as extremely credible direct witnesses to horrendous institutional corruption.
