“Yep,” said the father, “Cheap ones, too. .. .”
When I was driving long haul I saw some things that impressed me. Some brought a tear to my eye, some made me smile and a couple made me laugh.
The Memorial Big Rig.
An owner operator had repainted his rig after 911. The hood of the tractor had the smoking ruins of the Twin Towers. The trailer had the name of every innocent who died at the Towers and the Pentagon and the passengers aboard the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania.
The Iowa Freedom Rock.
A big old boulder near Menlo, Iowa that an artist paints every year as a thank you to the men and women in the armed forces who ensure our freedom.

A big painting on a sign near Metropolis, Illinois letting you know Superman lives there.
The one I’ve enjoyed the most over the years was proudly emblazoned on the back end of a big, beautiful RV.
“Happily spending our children’s inheritance.”
Another 3 to get to the big 60 at the Spokeshave residence.
Funny... Love it...
“Yep,” said the MOTHER, “Cheap ones, too. .. .”
a little bit funnier this way
t
“Their three kids, all successful,...”
But one was a Lawyer, so...
My kids! Except they wouldn’t have even shown up. Go through a crisis like losing everything in a fire and you find out exactly what your family is
Thanks for the smile!
Our 25th is a couple of weeks away.
I was thinking of giving her a ring, but I’ll probably just text her!)

60 here.
6 yrs ago, Husband laid down to take a nap and didn’t wake up. After that long married, ya don’t remember being single.
It’s lonely.. things he did, now you have to do... I sometimes just want to talk.. to remember..
I lost one son.. which is harder than losing a spouse.. the old must die and the young may die.
I have 2 sons I can call for anything.. another son too busy and a wife that does not share.
And a daughter...everyone should have one.
Prepare yourself for all kind of things.. prepare.
