I fully expect when my wife and I celebrate our 60th anniversary later this year, we will not see one of our three kids or 4 grandkids. I expect they will all shower us with expensive gifts and be way too busy to take a few days off work. I don't know which is worse. Cheap or Too Busy. I suspect the latter.

My parents live 40 miles from me. They are 91 and 88. I go visit every other weekend at a minimum and sometimes during the week. It makes my heart warm to see their faces lite up when I walk in!

Yeah but...
When you attend wedding receptions and the DJ does the “Who’s been married the longest” dance...I bet your usually the last ones standing.

Wife & I were married in April 1960...
Kids, grandkids, & great-grandkids keep us “young”...
Thanksgiving, Christmas, & birthdays are big events...
Our anniversary? Not so much...
Wife prefers to celebrate in front of slot machines...
