Now his devastated family have been left in shock by his death and are paying tribute to the 'legend'.

A Scots family have been left heartbroken after their 'friendly giant' dad suddenly died in his sleep.

Billy Muir, from Glasgow, went to bed feeling 'peaky' around January 7th and sadly never woke up.

The Rangers daft 54-year-old grandfather had taken a covid test shortly before which turned up negative last week.

Now his devastated family have been left in shock by his death and are paying tribute to the 'legend'.

Daughter Kate Muir Daily Record: "He was a big 6ft 6 friendly giant, very dark sense of humour that only few got but he was hilarious.

"He didn’t care about what anyone thought of him and lived life to the fullest.

"He had two daughters, myself and my sister Zoe, as well as five grandkids who he adored massively.

"My dad was a generous man when he had the means, and would go out his way to help people.

"He has friends all over and always made an impression the first time he met people.

"I was very close to my dad and in my teens me my sister and my dad were inseparable, almost like a triple act.

"He said he was feeling a bit peaky, but took a Covid test which was negative.

"That was a couple of days before he passed."

Kate now lives in Newcastle and had first become concerned when she hadn't heard from Billy in a few days.

After he failed to answer calls and messages she sent Police in Scotland to do a welfare check on him at his home in Maryhill which confirmed the tragic news.

Billy was found dead in his bed and his family are waiting on his post-mortem results to finally get answers.

They are now focusing on fundraising to cover funeral funds to give Billy a major send off.

Kate added: "He’s left a massive hole in our lives and raising funds to give him the send off he deserves is our main priority.

"He was a devoted Rangers fan and loved his music. We will miss him incredibly."

The Gofundme for set up for Billy reads: "I’m sure those who knew him as Big Billy, Triple B or just the Big Man will know that his two beautiful girls knew him simply as dad and their five lovely kids knew him as grandad Billy.

"He will leave a huge gap in their lives.

"Billy was one of life’s real characters. He loved a good party back in the day and I’m sure you all have some great memories of the times spent having fun with a true original.

"Billy was generous to a fault when he had the means and as his passing was so sudden and unexpected there are no funeral funds.

"His girls would like to pay Billy’s generosity of spirit forward by giving their dad the send-off he deserves.

"If you can spare anything, however small, to give the Big Man one last celebration of a life lived to the full we would be so grateful.

"If everyone who has sent such lovely messages of condolence were to donate whatever you can afford, then the funeral costs would be covered."

The tributes for Billy are pouring in from friends and family on social media.

Patricia McSwiggan said: "Big Billy Muir RIP. I met this gentle giant on our recent holiday to Cala D'or and it was a pleasure to get to know him.

"He smiled and spoke to everyone he met and was full of life's joys.

"He gave us plenty of laughs and kept in touch with us afterwards.

"To hear of his death saddens me. It just shows you never know what tomorrow will bring.

"Tonight myself and Conor will have a glass of wine in your memory, Billy.

"Rest easy big fella."

Darren O'Brien said: "God Bless Billy.

"Billy was a fabulous man and a good friend, I will miss him very much indeed.

"At least we got to spend two awesome holidays together.

"I met Billy in Majorca and we hit it off straight away, I've never laughed as much.

"We then had another even more awesome adventure in Fuerteventura, it was truly epic, we laughed so much it hurt.

"I will truly miss our friendship and look forward to meeting up with Billy again, but not yet, not yet.

"RIP Mr Billy Muir. I salute you Sir."

We know it couldn’t possibly be the Fauci/China biological warfare virus experimental vaccine, but whatever could it be?

Sorry to hear about these tragedies.

Seems like “suddenly” is in the headlines a lot lately. 😳

He said he was feeling a bit peaky, but took a Covid test which was negative.

And of course there is absolutely NOTHING else in the world that could make you feel ill. If you do not have the virus of the month then you must be in perfect health.

Last year I was forced to watch as my best friend's mother became more and more ill. She was tested for the "mysterious virus of unknown origin" repeatedly. Always negative. Which meant of course that she was not actually sick. After all it is perfectly normally to cough up a half cup of fluid from your lungs. Nothing to worry about.

Finally they concluded she might have pneumonia. Oh gee Dr. House. DO YOU THINK? Did the gurgling give it away?

A nice regimen of antibiotics and she improved. And then got worse. So they tested her again. For WuFlu of course. Let's not discard our tunnel vision. Woo hoo! Swab for dollars boys!

Nine months of hell later another doctor who actually had a working brain figured out she had lung cancer.

Nothing to be done at that point. Might have been able to do something before then but oh well. Let's test her again.

Bunch of offsprings of unwed female dogs.

Can't understand why my general opinion of the medical establishment is now in the basement and continuing to dig.

Hmmm… this isn’t a “sudden death” thread? You could have fooled me.
