The scene where they use Febreze to clean up the explosion site?

Oranges = I have a bad feeling about this.

They usually do. I remember Thanksgiving day Godfather marathons that would just play the first two films over and over again, like the third didn’t exist!

I personally like the theater experience.

The problem with 3 is that Pacino played Michael completely differently, it was hard to believe this was the same Michael from the first 2 GF movies, I know he had some remorse over the things he did, but it was just too much of a change to be believable.

He's smart enough to say that but stupid enough to do it anyway, all the time.

The strangers don’t interest me. The really big screen does. I first saw the Godfather at the age of 34, on the 25th Anniversary re-release, and it may a big difference in my ability to appreciate the movie, seeing it in the format it was filmed for. Maybe if I had a 72” screen and a proper sound system I would feel differently, but I don’t.
Now I have to wait a couple of years to see Godfather II properly.

I wish they’d include the scene where Fabrizio gets his for blowing up Appolonia...BASTARD!
That happened at night. The Baptism was during the day. It didn't work cinematically. She was wonderful.

There is a certain gestalt experience in watching a film with a large audience of strangers?

I remember that watching the “Terminator 2” movie, way back when, in a theater with a largely black audience. That audience was engaged.

Do you have to wear a mask in the theater? These are LONG movies.

Castellano was the real-life nephew of Big Paulie. Couldn’t hurt to have a bona-fide gangster relative in a gangster movie. There were a few of em in the movie - heard that certain ‘elements’(Joe Colombo Sr.)in NYC made Coppola an offer he couldn’t refuse. The guy that played Luca Brasi was perfectly cast for his role.

Saw it in a theater when it first came out and many times since. Every minute of it is classic.

Appolonia (Simonetta Stefanelli ) is now 67 years old. She was only 16 when the film was made.

Here’s hoping Coppola doesn’t change all the guns to walkie-talkies with this like Steven Spielberg did with “ET.”
