Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser just announced no one can leave their home or hotel without papers 24/7. You can’t enter any restaurant, bar, retail store, department store, gym, or even walk the streets, without government issued photo ID, plus proof of vaccine.
This is happening in America.
People “like me” are banned from Washington DC. I’m not certain- is it because I’m a Jew, Republican, or unvaccinated? Maybe all three?

I see more people recognizing the language being used and how it resembles 1930s Germany.
At some point it will be the stupid prize issuing phase for playing stupid games. I'd like to say I look forward to it, but a lot of people will/are suffering because of it.

It’s one thing to be required to show proof of vaccination to enter an establishment during a time pandemic. But it’s another to not even walk public streets without ID.
Is it against the law to be in public without ID in Washington DC? Do you have to have a vaccine passport to walk public streets?

The answer is to take home rule back from DC.
There’s no reason that the DC mayor has any right to control access to the federal reservation like this. Along with painting the streets for her own racial prejudices.
Home rule was authorized in 1973, 197 years after DC had managed to survive without the bureaucrats themselves deciding who gets to run things. Time to put it back in the lap of Congress and make sure they understand that the city belongs to the citizenry of the nation, not just a few special people who happen to work there.
So not a crime in NY.

Not a crime in any state to not carry ID. Driving, entering establishements, different story.

They are both horrific, though yrs, the latter is what the former has just been softening us up for.
Yes, exactly. Who stops you on the streets and asks for your passport? If the answer is the police then that puts some widely held conservative beliefs into question doesn't it.
