CLEARWATER, Fla. — Two women are facing a felony charge after police said they went to a man’s apartment in Clearwater and started throwing glitter at him during an argument.
According to arrest affidavits from Pinellas County, 27-year-old Kaitlin O’Donovan and 29-year-old Sarah Franks went to the man’s apartment on Fairwood Avenue just before 3 a.m. on Monday and started arguing with him as he stood on his fenced balcony.
Advertisement Both women threw a container of glitter at the victim during the argument, according to Clearwater police. The arrest affidavits stated that the man was hit in the head and torso.
Officers said Franks then climbed over the balcony fence, went into the man’s apartment and threw more containers of glitter at him. She then unlocked the front door to let O’Donovan inside as well, the affidavit said.
Once she was inside the apartment, police said O’Donovan also threw more containers of glitter at the man.
According to police, Franks left the apartment complex in a vehicle that was then traced back to her Seville Boulevard home. The arrest affidavit said the vehicle was still warm to the touch and had glitter inside when police found it.
Franks and O’Donovan were both arrested and charged with felony burglary with assault or battery. Franks was also charged with criminal mischief because police said she kicked a window until it broke as she was leaving the apartment.

Glitter is beyond the pale.
Yet murderers like A Cuomo walk.
Wow, she must had a 30 round glitter magazine on her. Those need to be banned.
Cleaning that crap up is a huge task.
Try getting it out of your afro!
They seem......happy.
The character Sam Hanna on NCIS: Los Angeles once referred to glitter as the Devil’s dandruff.
When I was cop we would make do with a ‘Girls, girls! I got real problems to take care of. Clean tjis shit up NOW. I’ll be back.?
As far as a Florida woman story goes, I give them a C-. Seems like there should be Clorox bottle being used as a beer stein or a ride-on mower or something to make it Florida-specific.
The other story about the Florida woman last seen swimming on an alligator infested river gets a B . . . C- for creativity, A for traditional Florida style.
Not guilty.
“Franks and O’Donovan were both arrested and charged with felony burglary with assault or battery.”
For throwing glitter? How about littering? The sentence should be getting a vacuum cleaner and cleaning the rug.
A perfect example of why it’s necessary to elect a pro-2nd amendment, constitutional sheriff in your county. Gestapo cops will follow the dictates of the fascist mayor who hired them.
However, the sheriff has the legal and armed muscle to take care of gestapo cops harassing citizens.
They’re smiling like a couple of loons because they think what they did will get them a night in jail and probation or something. I’d like to see their faces right when they’re arraigned and they hear what the felony charges are.
Glitter....hmmmm.... can’t think of a Seinfeld episode. Bummer.
On the bright side, the guy will be cleaning that glitter for years to come. It never really goes away.
But....George, “I was in the pool! I was in the pool”
They got the crazy eyes. From the headline, I thought this would be some silly thing, but breaking into his apartment and damaging a window makes it more than just a fun faith incident.
The 911 call should be good for some laughs.
Guess they took a shine to him.
More bad journalism. I read the article and still don’t know what they were arguing about, whether they knew him, or how they got in his apartment.
He must have cheated on the blonde....she gots crazy eyes and that Hannibal Lecter smile..
Mark Rober would beg to differ. 😀
The story leaves out details, but throwing glitter in somebody's face and eyes can cause serious eye damage and potential blindness. It can shred an eyeball.
They both broke into his apartment and damaged a window. Not just a fun-with-glitter incident.
