Astronauts aboard the ISS have been showing off breathtaking views from space — and set everyone back on Earth a challenge.
NASA’s Mark Vande Hei posted a stunning shot over the Himalayas on Twitter, leaving aerial photographers green with envy.
Hidden among it is Mount Everest, which the astronaut has asked people to try to spot.

It certainly looks different from above.

“Mount Everest...Forbidding...Aloof...Terrifying....”
I think that it is slightly above the center, but the very dark area on the left makes me wonder.
I didn’t find Everest, but I did find Waldo!
The world’s highest garbage dump.
The article has one photo where it is circled.
It the peak with all the corpses on it.
Ha! I would have never spotted it. Space view is certainly much different than ground view.
I just checked Google Maps. The actual summit is at the 4 o’clock position on the red circle.
I’ve read some of the stories about the people who have died on Everest. They all knew how risky the journey up and down Everest is. I didn’t realize how expensive it is even to be a part of a group. Thousands of dollars to take that hike.
Thanks...
I enjoy when Articles are posted about and on space things.
I put a telescope up for sale years ago, and the man who bought it from me came to my city and picked it up, personally. Before he arrived, my wife googled him and discovered that he had actually summited Everest. Did I ever have questions to ask him! But he couldn’t stay long, he had to fly back home right away.DARN, someone who had successfully climbed Everest was in my living room! He made two more attempts, one he had to abort (not enough oxygen), and the last one successful. I wish he could’ve stayed and told a few stories.
what a wonderful story to share-—thanks!!!!
I'm always left with the question unanswered......Why climb a mountain where you can't breath, can take your life and costs a fortune?
Are these people ‘challenged’ in ways the average person isn't....or is their need to be challenged so great like an addict to the next peak?
The heck with Mt Everest. I want to see the ISS photos of babes laying on the beach at Praia do Abricó.
Sorry, those pics are classified!
I can see my house
