Matt Nagy is no longer the head coach of the Chicago Bears.
The team made the decision Monday morning to fire Nagy as the head coach of the Bears after only making the playoffs twice in four years, according to Adam Schefter.

I saw Miami played in their classic unis yesterday, why can’t they just go back to those uniforms for good? It’s such a better look than their current uniforms, they look like a joke.

"
Running QB’s work fine for the college game, but rarely translate to the next level."
Yup. And one of the biggest reasons why is the pounding they take tends to add up quickly. RB's are built for that part of the game, QB's who also need to throw accurately, are not.
A "dual threat" QB is also at "dual risk" of hits and injuries (sacked in the pocket, tackled in space). They might be hot for a season or three...but no way one is going to last as long a Brady or Brees, let alone still be great after all those years.
They're a flash in the pan type player.

Just saw the Giants GM “retired”. So Judge is probably out, but not until the new GM shows up. Love black monday.

They also fired GM Ryan Pace, which they should've done a very long time ago.
They oughtta clean out the entire front office, coaching staff and start over. Can't do any worse than they already have thanks to the meddling McCaskeys.

I like football too, which is why I started watching a lot more college football and a lot less NFL in recent years. I’ve got several college teams now that I like to follow.

Good game. Funny how it ended. Typical Miami NE.
Tua is still a question mark. Johnson kicked butt.

No one is going to make Fields a good NFL QB. Quality candidates should avoid this job because for whatever reason, his development is a condition.
I think the Bears take a perverse pride in picking quarterbacks that are not premium NFL material. Even when they traded picks to move up, they reached for Trubisky with the #2 overall pick, passing on Mahomes and DeShaun Watson. I'm glad they didn't get Mahomes, they would have ruined him.
The Bears like to win with a mediocre or at best serviceable quarterback and a world-class defense. Rex Grossman was mediocre at his peak. Jim McMahon was serviceable when healthy and his head was in the game. Other than that, it has been a string of Bob Avellinis, Jay Plummers and Mitchell Trubiskys.

No one is going to make Fields a good NFL QB. Quality candidates should avoid this job because for whatever reason, his development is a condition. Let's be honest here: The Shitcago Bears have multiple issues:
1. The Bears first problem is drafting talented, high-quality QB's and then demand the QB change to fit into the Bears offensive system. The Bears don't change their offensive system to match the talents of the QB's they've drafted. As a result, the Bears have RUINED every quality College QB they've drafted in at least the past 30 years.
2. Bears Offensive Line. It's been a sieve for years and they refuse to fix it.
3. The Bears have completely screwed the pooch through poor draft choices and "trading up" (Trubisky) that they cannot for at least another 2-3 seasons begin rebuilding a team in earnest, using the draft. Every good NFL team builds their core of players through the draft and supplements the leadership and experience the team needs through free agency. Every successful modern NFL team has done this. The Bears did the EXACT OPPOSITE for the past decade or longer. The Bears are going to SUCK for at least another 4-5 years because of all their blown draft picks and choices.
4. The McCaskey Family. I've said it before, I'll say it again: The Bears will NEVER win another superbowl as long as the McCaskey family owns them. Period. The only thing the McCaskey family cares about are butts in the seats and tv revenue. They don't care about winning. (Ironically, this is the exact same problem the Cubs had while the Wrigley Corp. owned them, and they didn't win a World Series until they were sold.)
I gave up on the Bears 20 years ago. I'm a Green Bay Packers fan. Go Pack GO!

Any black head coach. Brady’s offensive coordinator from Tampa?
Leftwich might be a good head coach! He was a very disappointing qb, but sometimes those guys make the best coaches.

One last comment: No self-respecting NFL coach worth their salt should EVER the Head Coach position with the Shitcago Bears.
They're guaranteed to fail if they do. Blame the meddling McCaskeys.

Mike Tomczak is probably the best NFL QB to come out of Ohio State, and he wasn't drafted. Always be skeptical of any OSU QB.

The Chargers might consider the same after some of the strange decisions by their head coach last night.
Yup - Staley's decisions cost them the game. That young QB of theirs deserves better. But this was his first year on the job, so he'll be back next year.

“I’m a Green Bay Packers fan. Go Pack GO!”
I dread whats coming this off season.
Rodgers has already started at it. He made a remark about retiring after this season.
I am looking forward for the Packers and the Cowboys in the NFC championship game-at Green Bay in 13 below weather. Then the Packers and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Wouldnt that be a hoot?

I don’t care about any of this crap after the NFL decided to make dumping on the country and veterans a ratified policy. If you’re watching NFL football, you’re part of the problem. Long before the NFL aligned themselves with Communist organizations such as Black Lives MatterTM and called white people racist in a desperate attempt to stem their financial losses, discussions about the NFL changing personnel had as much relevance as the WWE discussing new chairs the wrestlers will use to hit each other on the head.
