The Supreme Court’s mandate review may be the last chance to rein in agencies

Clarence Thomas has long understood the terrible constitutional perversion the Supreme Court imposed on America, and this is his time to roar.

As if we needed confidence in yet another American institution destroyed, we were treated with a true spectacle of deceit in last Friday’s Supreme Court’s oral arguments on OSHA’s vaccine mandates. With the hysterical hyperbole of a CNN anchor, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, a self-proclaimed “wise Latina woman,” refuted that description by declaring, “We have hospitals that are almost at full capacity with people severely ill on ventilators. We have over 100,000 children, which we’ve never had before, in serious condition and many on ventilators.”

Despite her Yale pedigree, or perhaps because of it, as physicist Wolfgang Pauli famously quipped, she’s “not even wrong.” You must at least be in the ballpark to be wrong, especially when the facts are easily accessed on HHS and CDC websites. As of today, hospital capacity is at 79% with only 18% being used for COVID; there are 140 COVID hospitalizations of children; and cumulative child COVID cases since its inception total just 5520. Ventilator use, which proved deadly at the beginning of the pandemic, is used in only 3% of the cases.

SNIP

Despite Sotomayor’s hysterics and Kagan’s constitutional obliviousness, with OSHA about to ram through the most costly and far-reaching mandates ever—a mind-numbing 154 pages—and Congress on record against it, all under the guise of an emergency, and all without public comment, if today is not Thomas’s promised day to reevaluate the Court’s delegation jurisprudence, then that day will never come.

Roberts collecting his payoff from the Bank of Malta soon after flipping his Obamacare vote.

We are a post-constitutional banana republic running on fumes.

100,000 children on ventilators??Really?? How about those hundreds of thousands murdered by abortion last year? What did the Latino judge do about them? Where is her concern for them?

Justice Sonia Sotomayor is nothing but a supercilious fat latina f**k. As an Obungo appointee, her role is to put the nation on the skids into Marxism.

Note she earned 4 pinnochios. And her obvious predeliction toward fear mongering should preclude her even sitting on this case, she should recuse herself into the nearest loo, with prejudice.

Sonia Sotomayor belongs on a farm in Matamoros slopping farter pigs and sniffing their gas, which seems to be her basic nature on approaching constitutional issues.

I know that protocol and respect are important in these settings.

But if would have been beautiful if the attorney had responded, “Your honor, we are presenting oral arguments. The presentation of false information at this time, as you have just done, is a serious offense against this court. I challenge your facts. Can you provide evidence to substantiate the claims you have just made?”

I agree with that and her recusing herself. How can she rule intelligently on something on which she knows absolutely nothing, or worse what she does ‘know’ is so absolutely wrong? If what she said was true you might be prone to agreeing that something should be done, but it is not true and the fact she believes it to be lets us know how uniformed she is.

There are few Solomon’s found on this bench. “Our” elected
officials actually approved the clowns we see before us.
Exactly where is the fault line?

I remember Kagan & Sotomayor being appointed to the USSC & thinking it was a big mistake. Now I think time has shown me to be correct. However I have been very satisfied with Clarence Thomas as a justice.

Not just agencies. If they don’t stop this our three branch form of government will be gone. It will be the coronation of the executive branch as King and his court...

There are around 500 agencies on this list

We have FAR too much government doing far too many things they have no legit power to do.

We are suffering more government abuse now than we were under King George. Literally.

*Ugh... screwed up my coding and didn't notice.

At least 51% with Trump. The justices were a giant reason that many voted for Trump. He must have sat face to face and spoken with each of the three dumbasses that he picked. And he couldn’t recognize their lack of character and wisdom? Or else he pretty much just let McConnell make the pics. Either way he really let us down here. Hugely.

I fail to see where you get 51%. The THREE he appointed hardly make up 1/2 when there are nine on the bench. Not that Mitch would be considered a ‘white hat’, he chose from those who might possibly make it through the confirmation hearings. Pleasing d’rats (AKA as compromise) is what Mitch does best. Who are we to say how Kentucky votes?
They like him, therefore the country must learn to accept him, like it or not.
