Authorities say they’ve recovered multiple bodies after a rock formation collapsed on leisure boats in southeastern Brazil.

“I noticed one of two boats made a run for it,”
I noticed that too...he had it fire walled. I think he missed the rocks but the tidal wave may have swamped him.
Terrible to watch.
Someone jumped off the white boat at the last second. I’d like to think if he swam down fast at 45 degrees, he had a shot.
The fleeing boat should have turned 90 degrees when they saw it (assuming they saw it and were fleeing). They didn’t get a direct hit but fairly sure that boat was fully swamped.
I agree with that 90 degree thought. I’m not sure he actually
saw the column coming down. He many have. I noticed he
seemed to be turning like he was just getting ready to leave
the area at the time he drove out.
Yeah, I agree with you. He must have been swamped.
Did you notice that something from the white boat (I believe)
hit the camera boat at the end of the recording. You could
hear the thud.
I saw something looking like it was headed that way, but the
camera didn’t catch it all the way to the boat.
Already being blamed on climate change.
And those killed were COVID deaths.
Absolutely terrible.
The first two videos that surfaced only start recording a few seconds before the collapse of the YUGE column of rock.
But there’s also a third video that begins about a minute and a half before the big boom. There were “warning crashes” that far in advance of the major collapse but the boaters mostly just shot stupid looks at each other. Most of a minute before the YUGE chunk fell there was a series of increasingly larger rock falls, all from right at the base, which obviously would have been undermining the security of the rock above it.
The wall gave ample warning it was going to collapse, but the most of them ignored it.
RIP Sam
Agreed.
Considering those rock formations, I probably wouldn’t have
camped so close to the base of them.
