Lessons from a Duchess. How does Kate do it?
The Darling Academy UK ^ | Alena Kate Pettitt

While she may not be everyone’s cup of Earl Grey, you cannot deny that there are many things women could be learning from her example today. In my humble opinion we have been long overdue a role model like Kate.

Let the royal lessons begin…

Trends come and go, fashions change and seasons come and go but steadfast determination and patience win in the end.

It’s actually rather sexy to be conservative and dignified - men rarely treat with respect the kind of girls who give themselves away too easily to any boy who pays them attention.

Remember that the best things come to those who wait. True love waits. Never settle for less.

Let the fruits of the spirit be what people notice about you above all things. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

There is strength in silence...Beautiful things don’t ask for attention and Kate knows this. Moderate your social media, know when to shut your mouth and most importantly - never use hate words... You only need to show the world what you wish them to see. Exclusivity is elegant.

Family come first...Support your spouse, always. Until death do you part. Even if they are irritating you today, remember your vows now bind you and the mirror always reflects back.

Do not let your emotions rule you. No one likes to keep the company of an emotional hothead.

Stand for something. Find a cause that you connect with and help to raise awareness - life has more meaning when you do things beyond simply trying to meet your own selfish needs.

I like Catherine, but these new portraits are not flattering, and in my opinion they miss the mark as regal, historical portraits. The Daily Mail has had some articles about her fashions over the years, and every one of the pictures looks better than these three.

They aren’t flattering at all.

While you may not like these newly released photos of the Duchess of Cambridge and refer to her as better dressed in the pics you have provided, you have missed the entire point.

These pics are not a fashion shoot nor everyday, royal duty wear.

These are birthday portraits & far from what you have referenced.

Her 40th birthday is considered a milestone birthday in many circles, royal or not.

Hence,the portraits.

I would not have washed out all the color in the pictures, and if she wanted to echo historical royal portraits, I would have gone for a House of Stuart/Restoration (Charles I and Charles II) look as an homage to her father-in-law Charles. All warm colors and lighting and her brunette hair curled to echo the portraits of Charles II and his long brunette wig. Something like this without the hat.

In consideration of the fact the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge are known as modern royalty what you have suggested does not reflect on the newer face of the British Monarchy

I haven’t missed the point. Even portraits for the historical record should make you look good. These do nothing for Catherine.

One of my favorite official portraits of Diana was made before she was married. She is in an emerald green gown with diamond necklace and earrings, and the picture is very warm and striking. It also enhanced her best features.

I like her. A real class act. Good mother, fine wife, understated elegance.

Credit to William for marrying the remarkable “find” that is Kate. Unlike most of his royal predecessors - Charles and Edward notably - it is impossible to imagine William cheating on Kate.

The men of the British Royal family have been unfaithful and self-indulgent for centuries, so it is refreshing to watch the Cambridges and have no doubt that they love each other (for real) and are dedicated to both their Royal duties and to raising their darling children in the best way possible.

I firmly believe that “Mexit” came about because Meghan Markle is too shallow, too self-absorbed for a life of self-sacrifice - and regardless of the wealth and the privilege, it is not an easy life.

“not a great picture of a very pretty girl.”

It’s a classic pose and the look is elegant, but it doesn’t show her beauty or personality.

I agree. He hair, in my opinion, is way too long and is styled in an unflattering way. There are many much prettier pictures of her. This batch is not flattering. Hard to believe that she approved them.

Rumors are that Will did cheat on Kate while she was pregnant with Louis. Really bad on his part if true.
