Less than a month after voting to form a union, employees at a Starbucks store in Buffalo, N.Y., have gone on strike over grievances about working conditions. Six employees on the schedule to work instead formed a picket line in front of the store. Three other employees reported to work as scheduled, but Starbucks closed the location for the day. The striking employees stated that the surge in coronavirus cases and illnesses among the staff had created “unsafe working conditions.” In recent days, Buffalo area Starbucks locations have been operating on a take-out-only basis.
“Pressure to go to work is being put on many of us when some of us already have other health issues,” Starbucks Workers United said in a statement. “The company has again shown that they continue to put profits above people."

Now that they have their union, they have decided they don't want to work. Prediction: Starbucks will keep it open for a year, then they'll close it.
I hope they organize, nationwide, and crash the business into a million pieces.
I enjoy whatever misfortune Starbucks experiences.
I never understood the Starbucks business model. Even with ridiculous overpriced coffee, they can’t possibly generate enough sales to pay the rent in many of the locations where I’ve seen them.
I’m not big on $6 cups of coffee. Starbucks is a business I don’t need.
Me neither. I never got the naming system for what should be a 50 cent cup of coffee. Sheetz works just fine for me.

...this describes the liberal crazy mentality of the average Starbucks employee to a tee. What goes around comes around. Hahahahaha
If I want coffee for the road I’ll fill a thermos from home. Otherwise Wawa, McDonalds, or Dunkin Donuts.
What makes Starbucks even slightly worthwhile is having a comfortable place to sit down and catch up on email while sipping coffee. Take that away and they will close.
could care less.
Star Bucks Coffee is not to my liking,
I’m a Dunkin kind of guy.
Also when I’ve had to visit a star bucks the staff seem to be creampuff types.
Unions are business killers.
Too Rich, and I’m not talking about the coffee.
Still waiting for feminazis to get them to change their logo. If the fish parts were legs, what kind of position is she in? Not exactly “family friendly.”
but But BUT all i’ve heard, like forever, is that they were the best place to jerk foofoo coffee wi silly names!
wut happen? i am confusion...
What are these morons going to do when Starbucks closes this location. You serve coffee. You are replaceable
I’ll only go to Starbucks if their menu is like the one in the movie “Idiocracy”.
;)
You people are being way too hard on Starbucks. It’s a convenient place when you need to use a toilet.
“I don’t really think we have time for a h___-j__, Joe!”
