French authorities on Sunday removed a large European Union flag attached to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris after right-wing and far-right opponents of President Emmanuel Macron accused him of “erasing” French identity.
“Preside over Europe yes, erase French identity no!” tweeted Valerie Pecresse, the conservative candidate for the Republicans. Polls indicate she could be the primary challenger to French President Emmanuel Macron in the upcoming vote.
She called on Macron to restore the French flag at the iconic war monument.
“We owe it to our soldiers who spilled their blood for it,” she said.
Far-right leader Marine Le Pen praised the removal of the flag on Sunday as a win for the far-right. A day prior, she threatened to appeal to France’s Council of State to remove the flag. …

There is no “right”; only the “far-right” exists.
Face it. France had catastrophic losses of its best genetic stock during the Napoleonic wars and the European civil wars of 1914-1945. It was even worse for Germany, Russia and Britain. Being overrun by culturally alien migrants, horrid leadership and cultural decay was inevitable.
Looks better to me. Just have to add “Permanently”, though . . . something that Pecresse does not seem to want with her “Preside over Europe, yes” imperialistic outlook.

Now that is something I've NEVER, EVER seen or heard in the USA.
It's always "a couple of [radical leftist] guys with a fax machine" (as Rush used to say) that stir up the pot, get highly vocal, and get the Boardroom guys to immediately cave.

“It’s a change so subtle it went unnoticed for almost three years, but President Emmanuel Macron ordered a deeper colour change to the French flag to symbolise the heroics of France’s past.
Keen-eyed observers may notice the red, white, and blue tricolour flying above the Elysée Palace – and also positioned behind Macron in speeches – bears a darker navy blue that’s now replaced the previous bright blue.
The navy blue marks a return to tradition. It was former president Valery Giscard d’Estaing who switched to the brighter blue in 1976 so that it matched the colour of the European flag, which displays yellow stars on a blue background.
The change to Pantone Reflex Blue was made on the flags placed behind Macron at speeches from 2018, and updated on those flying atop the Elysée and other presidential buildings from 2020, said a presidential official who asked not to be named.
The official said that the navy blue colour “evokes the memory” of the heroes who fought in the French Revolution, the trenches of World War I and in the Resistance during World War II.”

I think of it as a mini riot by a few conservatives, i.e., the right-wing, urged on by federal agents and Antifa members.
By my memory, that brings the score of mini riots by the right-wing vs. violent riots by the left-wing to about 1000 to 1.
Search for “Jan. 6 capitol damage”, look at the “images”, and see for yourself just how little damage was done to the capitol.
Then search for “Reichstag fire” and look at those images. That’s real damage.
And remember the guy who was convicted of “trespassing while carrying an American Flag” was sentenced to 41 months in prison!
I’m glad there are still a lot of Frenchies left who love their country and don’t want to see it absorbed in the great big expanding blob known as the “european union.”

You're right though, Europe's decline began in 1914 and is accelerating rapidly.
