I was wondering...but I agree either way, LOL!
I have never seen a Sun Pillar! I’ve seen Sun Dogs, but no Pillars.
LOVE the idea of the traffic lights. Looks pretty and would be very helpful.
“Help! I’m being held hostage in a Fortune Cookie Factory!” (Which is probably more true than we’ll ever know!)
Your greenhouse is awesome! Good job! :)
Well, all I can do is window garden. I throw in a couple of dwarf sunflowers here and there. It actually surprises me when one blooms. Especially when it’s 9 below 0 like it was last night.
I agree! ‘Vintage’ advertising is the best.
R. H. Shumway does a good job of all vintage photos and line drawings in their catalog. They’re so pretty that I take them apart and use them for wrapping paper.

Well, Salsify IS listed in the ‘Invasive Plants Atlas’ so that’s usually a good sign to NOT plant something. ;)
Sending a PING to Ellendra to see if she’s grown it before.
There must be SOME way to keep it contained, if you really want some - don’t know how well it takes to growing in a pot.
We’re coming into our ‘Frozen Tundra’ phase this week and for a few weeks to come.
Already looking forward to our scheduled ‘January Thaw!’ :)
Here is a link to ALL of the catalogs/companies owned by Jung Seed, here in little Randolph, Wisconsin.
I would recommend getting their main catalog and also ‘Totally Tomatoes’ and ‘Edmund’s Roses,’ but they’re all full of really good stuff!
I’ve grown out/sold just about EVERY product in all of these catalogs, so feel free to ask me any questions you may have. (I worked for Jung Seed for 10 years.)

Assuming its in the garden....Spray anything green with vinegar, wait a day, dig up as much as possible, cover with plastic overwinter to keep it from getting water. When it heats up in the spring and you pull the plastic off in the spring dig up anything that survived. Monitor and dig. Good luck!
("Nuke it from orbit to be sure!")
Alas, Norton gives a Possible dangerous site warning for your photo posting site!
Nice grow your salad greens post! may try it. (I think Diana posted something like this idea previously!) I have a water bed heater and a number of pipe heater cables that might provide some heat for a back porch salad garden. (Prefer to keep any fungus gnats outside the house.)
Off to have cocoa and look at seed catalogs and wish I lived somewhere in the country on acreage at the edge of town, (Where I can See the town lights in the distance but don’t have to drive 30 miles for a tank of gas or brats or a 6 pack of beer!)
Aw, shucks! The website where the pictures are, is my husband’s website. It is a small hobby related site.
Aw, thanks! I have built 2 hundred footers quicker than this tiny house!

Thank you! I had another Freeper that could not see the pictures too.

Goodnesswins, just got my Territorial Seed catalog. My how prices have gone up...of course, Territorial always seems to be pricey. I’ve yellow highlighted some I might try this year.
I have a number of grapes...but, have two Arctic kiwis that never did anything worthwhile. So, I have a post and wire stretch that I could plant something on. Any suggestions out there? Already have enough berries (Marion and raspberries.)
I’ve never grown it before. I know people who grow it, but I don’t recall any of them saying anything about it being invasive. If anything, they wanted it to spread faster.
Where in Oregon are you? I forgot
I am not worried about them marring my velvet smooth lawn (grin) but I did have horsetail that invaded my garden and I swear the only thing to be done was take off and nuke the place from orbit. Worse then just the weeding was that it would kill off the other plants.
If necessary I can stick it way in the back where it will bother no one but back there it will become deer food. Nearer the house Evangeline and Priscilla the Attack Cows with the help of Lilly the Dog keep the deer away.
Yeah, the stuff is wicked invasive!
For now we have snow on ground and it is 10 degrees, so Will do it when spring comes!
