In a recent Salon article, Matthew Rozsa attempted to fold “Let’s go, Brandon,” into the long history of “insulting presidential nicknames.” Aside from telling the risible falsehood that NBC’s Kelli Stavast mistook a NASCAR’s quite clear chant of “F*** Joe Biden” for “Let’s Go, Brandon,” Rozsa would have us believe that this is just another derogatory insult directed solely at the president, irrespective of what he stood for. That seriously underestimates the broad reach of that slogan, born from a desperately unhappy year for Americans.
In fact, “Let’s go, Brandon” and its predecessor chant, “F*** Joe Biden,” are directed to the core of D.C.’s central control of most everything that’s gone wrong since January 20, 2021: inflation, regulation, taxes, debt, government policy failure, Covid mandates, wide-open borders, abortion, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, Critical Race Theory, trans/gay this and that, and all the other assaults on America, both large and small. It’s America’s response to pervasive D.C. control.
You really can’t say “F… Joe Biden” very effectively outside a sports stadium. But the euphemism that one hapless NBC reporter created while she was trying to protect Joe Biden is classic. It fills a vacuum, and it has long legs. It isn’t going away.
Why is the slogan so powerful? Partly, it’s powerful, as noted above, because it’s a reaction to Biden’s “central government gone wild,” with all the inevitable terrible results. The other reason is that it’s slipped lose from Democrat control over American institutions. Hollywood, the media, and the political class—all leftist dominated—can’t stop it.

Actually, “Let’s Go Brandon” is a message to the media.
The crowd that day was CLEARLY chanting “F.... Joe Biden.” He’s really, really unpopular with almost everyone except the sexually depraved.
The reporter tried to tell viewers what they were hearing and seeing was something else. She was blatantly lying to millions of people even as the camera and audio rolled.
Most of us with an ounce of brain matter have always understood that the media is nothing more than the government’s propaganda machine, and here it was caught red-handed.
“Let’s Go Brandon” is the response to the media constantly attempting to create a false narrative and pass it off as truth.
It is bigger than “F....Joe Biden” ever could be.
The phrase or chant has also stuck because of its origin, which serves as a subtle reminder that the media is totally in the tank for the DemonRats.

Precisely. And they don't care if they lose in 2022, because they have advanced their agenda. They know that very little of it will be rolled back.
The next time they're in power, they will advance it again, as far as they possibly can, regardless of whether it alienates voters enough for them to lose the next election. They know that they will eventually have power again, and they can move their agenda forward.
For example, you know that the transgender accommodations are NOT going away. Neither is the absurd enforcement of servitude to homosexual "weddings", "marriages", "adoptions".
They have successfully advanced their agenda, and will simply bide their time until their next opportunity.
Unless their agenda is CRUSHED in the establishment media, academia, and Big Entertainment (including Sports), this trend will continue ad infinitum.

Its not just about resident Biden and his numerous failures.
Its at least as much about the obvious gaslighting of the corporate media. We all could hear what the crowd was chanting. So did the reporter. She didn’t “mistake” what they were saying either.

Right to our faces. As if we didn’t know damn good and well that is not what the crowd was saying. This was a perfect representation of the corporate media for the entirety of Trump’s presidency and beyond. Russia Collusion. A lie. They KNEW it was a lie from early on yet they peddled it every single day for over 2 years. “most secure election”. Another obvious lie. “81 million votes!” Another lie. “Insurrection!” Another lie.
