I quit watch TV a while ago. EVERY show has some “agenda”. I watched TV to escape reality, To be honest I don’t miss it.
It would expose the ruthless propaganda throughout it all.
I only watch shows that wouldn’t be allowed today.
No Beagles though.
I remember watching Macgyver back in the 80’s when I was a single digit midget. Airwolf, and Dukes of Hazard too.
Trailer Park Boys for life
yes. i just recently rewatched the great Angus show. liked it first run. liked it second run even with the woke enviromentalism and anti 2nd amendment stuff you notice as a grownup conservative. i mean that was his character, and he was never overbearing or hypocritical about it.
it had some very prescient episodes about the evils of communism, and the communist chinese party, including the student movement of Tienanmen square.
plus i’m a retired engineer and have macgivered my way out of many problems. i like that stuff.
I am of the opinion that the popularity of zombie movies/series led to a desire for a viral apocalypse scenario. People were ENJOYING the empty freeways and lockdown like they were cosplaying
I’ll give you a better one for politics:
Netflix’s “Don’t Look Up”
It merits a thread all its own.
I won’t watch any shows where people are wearing masks.
I thought the Hogwarts Challenge might be fun to watch but lasted less than ten minutes into it. I couldn’t stand seeing the 100% masked audience and hearing the muffled cheers. 😖
So...MacGyver is back on TV, I take it. Who knew?
Most entertainment shows today would have the viewer believe that no less than half of the population are gay or gender fluid in some manner. Hardly a show that doesn’t have examples of it. Sometimes two or three side storylines. Couple that with the usual “climate change,” anti-MAGA cuts and leftist idealizations of ‘save-the-world’ politics and you have entertainment today.
The only “TV” we watch these days is from South Korea (historical dramas) and old re-runs of Star Trek. Pretty much everything else on American TV is garbage.
