..... And I'll never know whether or not it's COVID, because I refuse to get tested.
Started getting chills and body aches after attending a Christmas party. Not crazy shivers and fever like the flu, but more mild. Rested all day today, took Tylenol, and feeling much better. Will rest again tomorrow and see if I develop stuffed nose and cough.
The point is, prior to COVID, if a bunch of people who know each other, or work together, were getting sick, they'd say "I think there's something going around". And then they'd get over it and get back on with their lives.
That's exactly what I intend to do, even if the whole world around me has gone completely nuts.
I wish! My favorite diner doesn’t deliver.
glad you’re feeling better. looks like you haven’t encountered the sars component which is good. my sars started with a simple cough and escalated quickly. ivermectin knocked it down.
i’m in my third day of symptoms and feeling much better too thanks to Dr’s Zelenko, McCullough, etc.
:(
amen brother/sister. I totally agree with you. I got a call from my ops manager today telling me another employee’s wife tested positive and asked if I would ask him to quarantine. I said no. every one of you is TRIPLE vaxxed. Get it over it. I refuse to live my life in fear.
In normal times we would all blow this off; if you don’t feel well you stay home. That’s what normal people do.
Here is a great resource:

Use a pulse oximeter if you can get one.
Good luck.
Contrary to what most of the world seems to think, not everything is Covid. The common cold and the flu still exist. I am currently suffering through a persistent head cold and I’m getting really tired of everyone asking if it’s Covid and “are you sure it isn’t?” Umm, I’m sure.
Yeah, I think he’s on to something there!
thank you, you digestive health update means a world to us all!
Why is the best on this “Trump tier” when Trump is going around telling everyone the vaccines are the best thing for it, and that he himself has received a booster?
I have looked up many internet links, including Front Line doctors, for trying to get ivermectin, and always run into a brick wall
As much as I have total faith in HCQ and ivermectin, I think I’ll be fine without either. If I didn’t get the original alpha strain during the height of New York City outbreak, I probably have pretty good natural immunity.
If it's Delta and you are > 50 and/or have other risk factors, then I can tell you that I survived thanks to "horse" Ivermectin and Monoclonal Antibodies. I treated it really early and was back to work after two days (and doing a lot of napping for the two days after that).
If it's Delta and you have additional risk factors ... well, my buddy of 35 years was quite healthy, and now is 6 feet under.
and btw, even if you wanted a test you can’t one. i tried everywhere and there are none, nada available, cvs, walgreens, etc. you’d probably have to check yourself into the hospital to get test.
Bad cases of Bronchitis are going around .
Man... Been there four times, I think I am now immune to it if that is possible.
Well, you didn’t ask for help... but here it is of course anyway. Just 3 days ago, KYGrandma made a post “Unvaxxed son has Covid” and there were about 200 posts mostly from folks with suggestions. Although I’ve seen many similar posts here on FR, this definitely resulted in one of the better collections of on-grid and off-grid suggestions that I’ve seen... I’ve since copied it for myself and distilled it down into something that is workable as a reference.
Anyway, here is the link for it.... https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/4023850/posts
If you happen to be in in the Tampa area then message me and I may be able to help with the Iver.
careful. my first symptom was a bad headache. took a day for the cough to start.
I have a similar tale. Since it all began almost 2 years ago now I’ve been fairly low key in terms of social gatherings and been free of any health problems save one time this past summer when I had gone walking on hot day and when I got home I felt tired. That night when I went to bed I felt I had a fever. I went to sleep wondering if this was covid. Next morning no fever and felt normal so whatever it was was very short lived.
“The current CDC recommendation is to check yourself into a hospital, get on a respirator, and die after running up a big bill.”
And that is about as short and factual as it can get right there.
For a bit it seemed my body wanted to shut down, things kind of went dark for a few minutes.
Call it what you will my mind something to focus on and I got some signs of life again.
Why Arrested Development’s fantastic four song, I don’t know.
