Gina Sheldon had been traveling in Italy and France and bought more than $3,000 worth of gifts.

When she opened up her luggage, she found dog food, an old T-shirt, and a bottle of shaving cream.

The flight was booked through Delta but operated by Air France. In a statement to WMUR-TV, Delta apologized for Sheldon's experience.

I used to mail presents back home from overseas trips. I would try to pick the most unusual local postage to use, just for fun.

Next time fly I'll fill my luggage with dog food and file a claim for a few thousand.

But, I will probably never fly again. Unless I get current and fly myself.

Johnny Carson said the airlines lost all of his luggage once when he went out of town.
He had to start over with everything after a day went by.

“They haven’t found anything so far but there is one good lead. Someone saw a baggage handler in Miami wearing one of my new suits.”

I had a friend who used to put skid marked underwear right on top of all his clothes. He never had a problem with pilfering...

I still do that!
Dirty underwear and dirty smelly workout socks go on top. And my bagage stinks. Screw them. If they want to open up my S take a big whiff. ENJOY!!!!!!

In the fwis department, this happened to the First lady and me Christmas eve 2000,. Delta ATL to HON.

No dog food, we didn’t even get our luggage.

Try and find underwear or a toothbrush in Honolulu on Christmas.

Sheesh.

Ha. Good one.

Narrows it down to roughly half of the boomer generation is you count gray bears.

My sister in law went to an Arlo Guthrie concert outdoors maybe 3-4 years ago. She said all over the hills where the audience members were seated on the grass they looked exactly the same as maybe 1967 except all their long hair and
long beards were gray or white now. Same clothes and beads.

Wonder if they washed their clothes or selves since 1967.

Or some other passenger is trying to figure who would take those items from his bag.

Could have been a innocent mistake and the person who got her bag was unhappy because “$3000” in gifts wouldn’t cover the cost of the dog food.

“If only they were paid more, THEY MIGHT STEAL LESS!”

Ah, the liberal mantra.

“If only there were no glow bull warming they were paid more, THEY MIGHT STEAL LESS!”

You can thank me later.

Haha.... I guess the only thing I could add to that in this day and age is a POSITIVE PCR test report for COVID-OOGA-BOOGA put right on top of everything... :0)

bullshit... it’s a standard wage for the job description. just prosecute the thieves heavily to solve the problem!! instill standards not pacifism...

Amen. If they think the pay rate they agreed to isn’t enough, they should find another job or learn some new skills. They are not entitled to other people’s belongings just because they don’t like their wages.

Stupid Democrats.

They probably go after the expensive looking luggage first. Buy some child luggage or pick up an old Samsonite suitcase at the thrift shop.

On the bright side, her dogs were very happy with the exquisite French cuisine.

On the downside, they will expect that every day.

This kind of BS, while not unknown in the USA, is rampant in Europe.

The De Gaulle Airport has been known for decades as a place that you just don't want anything of value in your luggage. And try as an American to protest to the French authorities ... Ha!

Most of Europe is like that, since baggage handlers are born in Turkey, Algeria and lately, Syria and Afghanistan. Flying through London is not any better.

In the US, pack your valuables and fly to Puerto Rico through Miami. Likely not much will be left.

This isn't much of a secret to fliers.

My wife bought a bunch of fancy cake mix in the UK. She found it on sale for something like 15 cents a box. (Like an idiot) she took them out of the boxes because the cellophane bags packed tighter. Customs checked her bags and found multiple pounds of white powder in her suitcases.

Luckily she’d kept one of the boxes folded flat and the drug sniffing dog ignored the contents.

Thank you for bring that up. A site: Citzen Free Press has begun hitting similar guard rails of vocabulary they offically opposed just a few months ago. It’s worse at CFP.
