It's really about 6 hours long, but they put it on repeat for the entire 36 hours. I'm just letting those who here who are looking for something to listen to on Christmas day
It's a mixture of music, short skits from the golden age of tv and Christmas factoids of how it all fell into place since the Birth of Christ.
A Philly radio station is playing 10 straight hours of the Beatles. It started at 2pm this afternoon, and goes till Midnight. You can listen online. Just search 102.9 WMGK online and click on the streaming button.
I’ve been collecting Christmas music on CD since CDs first came out. Some years ago I ripped them all and put them on a home server. I’ve got 434 songs that play 22 a few 46 minutes without repeating. This afternoon and evening is the first time I’ve played it this season — I’d forgotten what a great collection it is. Largely traditional Christmas music and carols through the ages. Probably the newest songs are some by Perry Como and Bing Crosby from the 40s.
SiriusXM has something like 14 channels of Christmas music
You’ve got to have Mele Kalikimaka by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters.
Hmmm. I only found three channels when my wife and I went to her son’s house to celebrate the other evening, but it was only a ten minutes drive, so I guess I handicapped myself. LOL
Nope, not on the list. But it WAS on the “Christmas Spectacular” show we saw a couple weeks ago in Coeur d’Alene. They did a fantastic “Christmas Around the World” skit with songs and Santa Claus characters from all over the world.
I lied. I just heard “Pretty Paper” by Willie Nelson from the “Time-Life Treasury of Christmas” collection.
It was either KLIF or KRLD in Dallas that played old Jack Benny Christmas radio skits for Christmas. Probably still available online.
Ah, here you go!

In the meantime, enjoy the genius of Elvis's piano man, Boyce Hawkins!
Sounds wonderful
Have you ever thought of making it accessible to others?
Thanks, listening now.
Super! Thanks for the recommendation
I’m worried about exposing the server to the outside world.
It would be a great playlist on Spotify, though. There are already a lot of great curated Christmas playlists there
