Is Anyone Else Spending Christmas Eve Alone?

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is having a good evening. This is, I think, the tenth edition of the annual thread dedicated to those among us who, for whatever reason, find ourselves solo on the night before Christmas.

Here in my cozy habitat, it's just me, my faithful hound and, a little later, Ralphie Parker and then George Bailey will make his yearly appearance.

The presents are wrapped and under the tree. After dinner, I'll imbibe a latte and then maybe a little vino.

Anyone else solo tonight?

Peaceful tonight with just my bride and 13 year old dog.
Dinner is on the stove, our home is warm.
God is good and we’re grateful for the birth of our Savior.

Yeah, I'll be alone tonight but not unhappy or lonely.

I'm watching 'White Christmas' while I freep and then later will watch 'A Christmas Story' with Ralphie and family, always a favorite.

My adult kids are in town visiting their Mom and then they'll come here on Sunday for our celebration.

Mrs. and I alone until the pandemonium of kids and grandkids arrives at noon tomorrow! Enjoying a small moment of peace, prepping the Christmas Lasagnas (regular for carb eaters, and heart of palm noodles for us old folks).

Sort of. With my mother dying as well as my brother I am heartbroken. I was invited to my daughters to spend the night but I think I will just go in the morning. For 65 years I always spent Chritmas with mom. Empty now.
