Maybe we need a rule. In order to start a thread on a negative topic, you need to start at least 1 maybe 2 on positive topics.
Required for every article that is from left wing media, or on culture wars, or crime, or is negative, or depressing, or on what’s wrong in the world.
You have to find and post an article that is positive, uplifting, vituous, celebrating what is right in the world, celebrating victories,
And maybe a rule that every thread needs a picture of a beautiful woman whether it’s in any way related to the thread or not. The rule that you have to post pictures on any thread that is about a beautiful woman has served us well. But it’s time to up the game. We can do better.

We could add a vote to each thread. Is this thread positive or uplifting, or is it negative and depressing.
Votes on each thread limited to one per freeper.
The article would then be weighted as positive or negative. And the poster would get a +1 or a -1 for the thread. Posting privileges for too low a cummulative score would be suspended.
And on the beautification of FR idea, perhaps a bank of tasteful pictures of beautiful women could be maintained. And FR could just automatically post a picture from this image bank along with a positive message on each and every thread.
This could lift the spirits of some of the more depressing and angry posters. It certainly wouldn’t hurt.

My impression of FR when dealing with suggestions such as this is that they’re much more willing to consider it if there’s a donation attached to the suggestion. It kinda has to pay for itself.
