Stephanie Lontz came to the rescue earlier this month for 19-year-old Lauren. As you can see in the Ring Camera video ... Lauren began screaming for help with her dog in her arms, as the larger dog was biting and lunging at them.
After several terrifying seconds, they were only able to escape safely into the house, thanks to Stephanie, who ran from her delivery van and got in between Lauren and the pit bull.
The Amazon driver..told the local NBC TV station, "I wouldn't even think it's motherly, it's just the human thing to do."
Though Lontz saved Lauren's day, she says Amazon workers go through so much on a normal basis that this sort of thing was not unusual for her. In fact, she says she herself was bitten by a dog 2 days prior to this incident.

"Don't pet the bison"
Had — another — Pit attack on my dogs as I walked by a neighbor’s house three days ago. Unlike a previous attack by a different Pit, I didn’t have to physically harm it this time (gouge its eyes).
This time, for whatever reason, it worked by going full-on prophet: “YOU WILL STOP!” Five feet from me, I put my hand up to challenge it: it yelped, turned, and scampered off, as the lame-ass, douchebag owner came out wondering what was going on.
I won’t ever count on that defense, but I once also stopped a German Shephard attack by turning on it and going beast-mode commander, ordering it away. Dogs respect authority. Show it to them.
I have held off dogs by yelling “Bad Dog”, “OFF”, and even “Who Wants A Bath?”. Seriously.
A neighbor and I lured a messed up pit into his truck and took it to the river once, though. The owner didn’t even put up signs. It had bitten two other dogs (one was mine).
That same neighbor had a very intelligent and sweet pit. Like Petey from the Little Rascals. Mostly watched the kids and laid around.
My new vaccine-free employment has a pit bull who likes to visit everyones work areas looking for a bite (to eat). Sweet dog.
YMMV

Exactly. LoL
FOTFLOL!!!!!!
I am not familiar to that allusion. "What you talkin' bout Willis"
When pit bulls attack, their owners must be put down. That will fix the problem in one or two goes.

Ha ha ha! "Chet" was a former Freeper who used to post (almost) daily articles about pitbull attacks. Jim Rob finally got sick of it and zotted him. 😜
Well, this attack is not yet on the dogsbite.org site, but the latest deaths by pit bull, rottweiler, and other breeds identified are listed with stories and commentary here below. Think the death toll this year is over 40, which is almost one death per week for most of the year:

It didn’t look like an attack to me.
Chet99. FR’s former Pitbull reporter at large.
They were bred to kill other dogs and that is exactly what it was trying to do.
I’ve known several rotties. All lovely dogs.
bttt
Everything was fine until the white dog attempted to jump on the brown dog at 0:27.
The disparate body languages are glaring.
Don’t start something you can’t finish.
If the pit is socialized well, the white dog could have just flopped on its back. Picking it up solved nothing. Probably added to the “problem.”
