Has anybody confronted you lately about not wearing a mask?

Most people in rural MO tossed the masks late last Spring when ti started getting sweaty under them.

I went to Fred Meyer and I did not wear my mask....it was in my pocket...I use the basic same cheap blue mask for weeks unless I think to grab a new one....

many people were not wearing one either.....

I was asked why I still wear one. I explained that I see my brother at least twice a week and he is a transplant patient. Following his transplant teams recommendation he got the shots but because of rejection meds they did not take. My decision to continue to wear one is based on that fact.

Try a different Ace. Many of them are owned by different people, so how their store runs, even what they sell, their mask policy, varies greatly store to store.

Here in California (the belly of the beast) which just re-instituted a statewide mask mandate for all "public indoor spaces". I'm not voluntarily complying any longer. Make them make us. In other words, don't comply unless asked.

Went to a sporting good store last night, they asked. Today I went to a UPS Store, they didn't ask.

They don't even have the tiny, almost apologetic, signs up peeping about "The government recommends you wear a mask so maybe you could if it would not be too much trouble?"

No thanks. When I walk into my local Lowe’s or Home Depot, even though they’re a half hour away, I’m greeted with cheery faces and smiles and knowledgeable associates, something that hasn’t happened in Ace since the 80s. They had their shot.
